SHIV SUDARSHAN CHAKRA:
Pleased with this harsh practice of Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiv bestowed him with 'Sudarshan Chakra'. Giving the Sudarshan Chakra, he said to Lord Vishnu - "Devesh! This great weapon named Sudarshan, consisting of twelve arrows, six navels and two ages, is fast moving and destroys all weapons. To protect the gentlemen, its arrows are used.
There are twelve months of deities, zodiacs, seasons, fire, Soma, Mitra, Varun, Shachipati Indra, Vishvedev, Prajapati, Hanuman, Dhanvantari, Tapas and Chaitra to Phalguna. Lord Vishnu defeated the demon Sridama with that Sudarshan Chakra and killed him in battle.
The specialty of this weapon was that when it was rotated rapidly with the hand, it combined with the flow of air and ignited fire with great velocity and consumed the enemy. It was a very beautiful, fast moving, a terrible weapon to operate quickly.
It came to Lord Shri Krishna by the grace of the Goddess. It was made of silver bars. Iron prongs were attached to its upper and lower surfaces.
