Luke's POV

After a ten minute drive we arrived at Michael's house to see a few groups of people walking in as we pulled up. We all got out and headed towards the doorway, Ruby seeming a bit reserved as she didn't know anyone inside.

"Luke!" I heard Michael's voice call as I led the group through the hallway, holding Ruby's hand. I shot him a smile as I headed over, bringing the rest with me.

"Hows it going?" Michael asked as he hugged all of us. "Who's this?" He smiled at Ruby.

"My girlfriend, Ruby." I smiled with pride as he nodded with a smirk. "I'll see you around mate," I stated.

"See you," He replied with a smile, looking at each of us.

We headed out into the back garden where there were groups of people stood around drinking by the pool. "Luce!" Daniel suddenly yelled, causing us all to look over at her; and then realised, she was with Kiana.

He ran over before I had the chance to question him or Ronnie why they hadn't mentioned that they'd be there. The others all followed over, Jai giving me a look of pity as he lastly followed.

"I can't go over, not after everything she thinks about me. She's probably told all of her friends that I cheated on her." I panicked, Ruby looking up at me with a sigh.

"You don't have to go over now, but I'm sure Lucy will be at the house a lot with Daniel - and what if she brings Kiana? No doubt you'll have to face her some time." She replied, making my stomach drop at the thought of what she may say to me - or even worse - Ruby.

I looked over to the group to see Kiana staring at me, not looking away even once I had caught her. I couldn't tell whether it was a look of hatred or admiration; though it was probably hate. All of a sudden she beckoned for me to go over, confusing me as the rest of the group looked over at me, awaiting my response.

"I can't -" I said to Ruby.

"It won't be for long, just chin up and act like you're enjoying yourself." Ruby advised me as she put her hand on my back to lead me over to them.

"It's been a while! How are you both?" Kiana said intimidatingly as we arrived at the group which consisted of the boys and Ronnie, Lucy, Kiana and a couple of their friends.

"Never better thanks, how about you?" Ruby replied smugly, causing Kiana's face to harden a little as she looked down from me to Ruby.

"Not too bad." She said bluntly. I just looked down as the awkwardness seemed never ending, until one of her friends spoke up, asking Kiana to go inside with her.

"How has LA been without me then?" Daniel smirked at Lucy as they held one another.

"Quiet and boring." She stuck her bottom lip out. "Kiana is feeling a bit happier now after everything that happened, or at least she seems to be." Lucy indirected to me, causing Beau and James to dart their eyes in my direction.

"I think it was a bad idea coming out, I'm knackered." Ruby laughed. "I think I might need to get back, would you come back with me?" She asked me.

"Yeah, of course." I smiled, saying goodbye to the group before heading out to the front of the house to order a cab.

"Thanks for saving me." I smirked, knowing she had said it so I was able to get away from all of the judging awkwardness.

"It's nothing." She smirked back.

NEXT DAY

~ ~ ~

"They're coming over later!" I heard James say to Ruby as I walked into the kitchen.

"Who's coming?" I asked.

"Just some friends," James said shyly, making me suspicious yet I had to laugh, he was never like this. "Do you remember Harriet and Ria?"

"Oh yeah, isn't Harriet the English girl?" I asked.

"Yeah, I've been talking to her for a while and invited her around later - and her friend." He said quickly. I didn't say anything, I just smiled and nodded but I could tell Ruby was thinking the same thing I was as she smirked at me. Maybe a new relationship was brewing.
