Ruby's POV

"Hello," Kiana smiled, directly at Luke, as she walked into the living room and surprisingly took him into a hug. She really had seemed to have put all that happened behind her.

"So, what pizza does everyone want?" Beau asked as he switched his laptop on, everyone giving their orders as Lucy and Kiana got settled down on the couches with us all.

"I'll go get some drinks," Kiana announced as she stood up.

"You don't have to, I'll go -" Jai began.

"No it's fine. Ruby would you mind helping me?" She asked, I politely nodded and followed her into the kitchen.

"I think I better tell you, Luke is getting back with me, just in case you're shocked when it happens." She said, making my stomach drop.

"What are you on about?" I asked casually, though on the inside part of me believed what she was saying.

"I can tell he wants me and I obviously want him back," She smirked as she finished pouring a drink. "It's inevitable Ruby, you're out and I'm in."

"Oh, so you're tricking yourself into believing that he still likes you?" I laughed, pitying her pathetic mindset.

"I like how you use the word 'tricking' even when you know that it's true. You don't deserve him, I hope you realise that he could do so much better than a low life like you." He words hitting my like a brick wall. "You should've stayed with that disgusting rat, Wayne was it? Yeah you'd go quite nicely together - just like Luke and I would, yet we'd obviously be much more of a beautiful and loving couple."

"What the fuck gives you right to bring him up again? You just think you're better than me because you've not made any mistakes - but guess what, Luke has made mistakes too so many he's not that perfect either." I snapped, making her laugh which just infuriated me even more.

"Never compare yourself to Luke again, it's just pathetic and embarrassing. I long for the day that he realises how bad you are for him - which should be soon." She smiled, leaving me speechless as she walked out of the kitchen. I couldn't believe that she could be so harsh.

I had to get out of the house for a while.

I texted Harriet, asking if I could come over - which she replied to almost immediately saying yes thankfully. Then I texted Luke to tell him where I was going, I couldn't face seeing the rest of the group and particularly her right now, I didn't want to do any explaining to them.

I took a taxi over to Harriet's apartment and she answered the door, welcoming me into her place where she was staying alone for tonight as her friend was out for the night.

"What's happened?" She asked, telling there was something wrong by my face.

"It's Kiana, she just basically said I'm nothing and that I shouldn't be with Luke or anywhere near him." I was glad she asked because I needed to talk to someone about it.

"What? Why would she say that?" She asked, seeming shocked as she didn't know what had happened with Kiana in the past.

"Well, it's a long story really," I began. "Basically a few months ago Luke and I split up and he eventually got with her for a while even though he apparently still loved me the whole time. When I came back to visit them all, we all went out and he admitted the truth to me, seeming desperate to get back together; which I was too. The next day he split up with Kiana and she made up the idea that he was cheating on her with me whilst I had been staying there and has seemed to hate me ever since."

"Wow. She sounds even more self centered than I had thought," She raised her eyebrows, confusing me slightly.

"Well I could tell there was something bad about her, I just didn't realise she was so cruel." She said. "So are you going to tell Luke?"

"I don't know - I mean I should, but I don't see if there is any point. She's just a desperate and jealous girl that needs to see the truth. I don't want it to get too complicated and for Luke to push it out of control when he gets angry."

"I suppose you could just leave it for now then, if she says anything else though you have to tell me and Luke. I'll be here to defeat that bitch." She said, making me laugh. I was so thankful that I had already made a close friend within the first few days of arriving here - as well as making an enemy.
