Ruby's POV

"We're over." The words continued to repeat in my head, I couldn't believe it. He sounded so sure that it was what he wanted. I knew this was too good to be true, but I didn't think this dream would end so quickly.

I pushed open the bathroom door and walked into the empty bathroom corridor, locking myself into one of the cubicles and sitting on the toilet seat. I was hurting all over, I couldn't stop shaking from reliving what he had said to me.

I look a sheet of tissue and wiped my damp cheeks, fresh from tears that had fell only minutes ago. I was too shocked to cry anymore.

After I had sorted myself out a bit I unlocked the door, stepping forwards towards the mirror and just staring at myself. I can't believe I thought all of this was behind me, how could I be so stupid. Things like this never go away.

I had no idea where to go from here, what if he'd told everyone? I had no choice but to go back into the dressing room, if the fans saw me I'd end up breaking down. There was no escape from the venue until the end of the night.

I headed across the hallway and stood outside of the dressing room door, taking a deep breath before pulling it open. Danni glanced over to me, flashing me a smile before continuing with her conversation. Thank god, they didn't know.

I scanned the room looking for Luke, but he was no where to be seen. "Do you know where Luke is? We're going down to meet and greet in 5 minutes." James asked on cue.

I shook my head, shrugging my shoulders. "No, I've just been to the toilet." I said, throwing them off what had really just happened. More lies - great.

"I'll go and look for him." Jai said, standing up. He paced out of the door and down the hallway, leaving us to wait for them both before we could go down to meet and greet.

"No pulling us up on stage again tonight." Danni laughed as she poked Beau in the side making him smirk.

"No promises." He replied, raising his hands up as he laughed.

After a couple of minutes Jai came back with Luke following him, looking just as happy as normal, making me very confused. "Let's go bitches." Luke said with a smile as he opened the door for the others to leave.

Danni went out first, followed by the other boys, Ronnie and the crew and then me who Luke completing ignored yet again. I felt sick to the stomach but I knew I had to go down with them, I didn't want anyone else to be suspicious.

We saw the groups of fans waiting around the side of the room, screaming as soon as they saw the boys walking past. I smiled at a few fans that called mine and Danni's name, not feeling up to talking to anyone.

We went up into a smaller room for the photographs, Danni and I keeping out of the way at the side of the room. It was so weird seeing Luke acting so casually after what had just happened, as if I meant nothing to him.

After what seemed like a night that would never end we got back to our hotel. I had no idea what to do since Luke had given me no signs of what we even were anymore.

I followed the others up to our level, going into my room as I didn't know where else I could go. Luke followed in after a few seconds, jumping onto our bed and looking at his phone.

I sighed, dropping my bag onto the bedside table and making Luke turn his head in my direction. "Can you go somewhere else?" Luke asked in an impatient tone.

"Where else can I go? It's not like anyone has a free bed going." I replied, angry at his attitude.

"Maybe you should've thought of that before." He said flatly, looking back down at his phone again.

I sighed and sat down on the bed, I wanted to sort this out, even if all he replied with was blunt comments. "Can we just talk about it?" I asked softly.

"Go for it." He replied, much to my surprise, locking his phone and looking directly at me with no emotion.

"I'm just going to tell it from my side of the story because I'm sure Wayne exaggerated." I explained, pausing to gather my thoughts. "Basically, two years ago I used to hang around with a group of very rough people. They used to drink, take drugs, get arrested, you get the picture. Well one night Wayne thought it'd be cool to go on a little drive in his new car, he's two years older so had just passed his driving test at this time. Anyway, he was way over the drinking limit but I didn't want to complain about it because I had been peer pressured into this in the first place. So after about 10 minutes of driving around backstreets he started to go faster and faster, breaking the speeding limit and really scaring me to be honest and that's when it happened. The car had hit something. We both raced out of the car, expecting it to be an animal or something but it was so much worse." I paused, remembering the image of the mans lifeless face staring up into the sky.

I looked over to Luke who had concern in his face, I could tell he really was listening to every detail. "I had only just turned 16, I was so scared. We knew no better than to just drive off. It still haunts me to the day knowing I was in the car that ended a persons life. Ever since that day I have never been in contact with that group of people, of course until Wayne started to threaten me." I finally finished, I was so glad to get it off my chest.

He just stared at me, a look of sadness and pity in his eyes. I couldn't tell what he was feeling anymore. "So, it wasn't your fault?" He asked quietly.

I shook my head, looking down at my hands. "Wrong place, wrong time. Pretty traumatising for a 16 year old girl." I admitted truthfully.

He pushed himself up from the bed and sat beside me, not saying a word but only wrapping his arms around my body. "I'm sorry." He whispered.

"You don't need to be, I understand if you still don't want to be with me." I replied.

He pulled back, his hands on my shoulders as he looked into my eyes. "I love you." He said meaningfully.

I smiled, the hardest part was over - finding out whether or not Luke would ever be able to be with me again. "And I love you." I replied. Now we could start to make things better.
