Ruby's POV

I stand waiting at the bottom of the stairs in shock, waiting to see Jake's face any minute. I was one hundred percent sure Kiana would've twisted the story somehow.

Within about a minute I heard loud footsteps coming towards the top of the stairs, making my stomach drop, it was Jake. He came running down the stairs, shooting me a look of disgust before pushing past Luke and I towards where his jacket was.

"Wait Jake I need to -" I tried to say but was interrupted.

"Just leave it, I've heard enough." He spat back to me, pulling open the front door and slamming it behind him.

"What the hell is going on out here?" James called downstairs as he reached the top of the staircase, rubbing his eyes.

I just sighed and headed back into the lounge, allowing the others to explain as I didn't feel up to it. After a couple of minutes I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and the voice of Beau joining the other three before they entered the lounge.

"You alright?" James asked with pity on his face, joining me of the couch for a big hug.

"Yeah, I just need to explain the truth to Jake." I replied, leaning back in the chair.

"Well we all know Kiana is a liar anyway. I'm glad she's gone." Jai said, afterwards looking as if he regretted what he had just said - but we all knew that he never seemed to like her.

All of a sudden we heard a loud shout coming from upstairs, sounding like one of the girls. Not long after we heard footsteps thundering down the stairs and I could tell by the look on Luke's face he knew what it was too.

"You cheated on Kiana?!" Lucy yelled as she burst through the doorway, directing Luke who timidly looked from her to me.

"He didn't cheat on her." I said, raising my voice.

"Well you are going to say that aren't you? Anything to cover up the fact you've both broke her heart." Lucy replied, completely overreacting and obviously falling for Kiana's lies.

I sighed, shaking my head at how oblivious Lucy was in the whole situation. "She's coming back to LA with me today, I hope your little plan has worked." She spat at me, narrowing her eyes before leaving the room.

"Well, that was easy." I joked as I saw Jai's face lighting up, making him laugh.

All of a sudden Luke made a loud sigh, leaving the lounge in a hurry without saying anything and heading upstairs, making my heart start to race at double the speed. What if he was having second thoughts and wanted to stay with Kiana?

Luke's POV

It wasn't meant to be like this, I never wanted Kiana to be upset or for her to hate me - I still cared about her as a friend. I knocked on my bedroom door, knowing she wouldn't be in a good mood but I had to talk to her properly about it.

The door opened and Lucy was stood behind it, her face dropping as soon as she saw me. "What do you want?" She asked, blocking my view from inside the room.

"I want to talk to Kiana, she's got completely the wrong idea. I don't want her to be upset." I replied trying to act as brave as possible, even though Lucy did scare me a bit.

"Well she's not going to take you back if that's what you want." She said, her angry emotion dropping.

"No, I just want to explain things properly." I said.

"Just let him in Luce." I heard Kiana's small voice come from inside the room.

Lucy let out a sigh and stepped aside to let me in before leaving the room. "Okay, I know you probably won't want to talk to me right now but I just want to explain this properly. I didn't cheat on you, I'd never want to hurt you like that. I do still care about you Kiana, it's just that I don't think we're going to work out. I'd rather just stay friends." I explained.

"But it was planned all along wasn't it? You've never stopped loving her, and you never started loving me." She replied, her words sending butterflies around my stomach as she was right. "Well I still love you Luke. You shouldn't have led me on like that." She said sharply through gritted teeth.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean for any of this. I've just messed up everything." I sighed.

"Please leave now." She replied with no emotion. I hated myself for what I had done to her.
