Chapter 43

Ruby's POV

"I'm moving back down to London!" I grinned, scanning each of their faces as they lit up.

Squeals of happiness echoed around the room as Danni, Beau and James engulfed me in a huge hug. I felt so loved. "Anyone happy about this news at all?" Jai laughed as he took a photo of us all before joining in, along with Daniel, Lucy and Kiana.

I was finally released and everyone took their seats again, Jake grinning at me from the news - he lived in London too so I'd be able to see him a lot more now.

I looked over to Luke who actually seemed to be happy for the first time in ages, ever since I had left London I had never seen a proper smile on his face - not like this one. I was glad he was happy, maybe not for the same reason as me but it still meant something.

"Where's the apartment then?!" Daniel asked, breaking me from my daydream.

"It's not too far from here actually." I smiled. "Only a few minutes away."

"You'll have to show us later on maybe." Beau smirked as he snaked his arm around Danni's waist, they were the cutest couple.

"I think this calls for a little party." Jake smiled from beside me, starting to come out of his shell as he got to know everybody else. "I'll go down to the shop if you want?" He asked.

"I'll join you." I smiled, pushing myself up from the seat and helping him up. We grabbed some money and headed out onto the street, it would be nice to finally spend some alone time with Jake.

"So are you looking forwards to seeing my beautiful face everyday?" Jake asked, making me laugh. "I'll have to visit you all of the time. You'll end up sick of me this time next week." He laughed.

"Of course I'm looking forward to it, I'll have to give you a time schedule though, I'm a busy woman." I giggled.

"Yeah, sure." He said sarcastically, making me playfully hit him on the arm.

We arrived at the shop and bought some alcohol and food for the celebration back at the others apartment. It was nice to be able to spend time with them again as friends, like it had been only months ago - before everything for complicated.

"How's your music going then?" I asked as we exited the shop.

"Great actually, the fans are being really supportive and I'm just finishing up recording for the new EP tomorrow." He smiled.

"You should've told me! I'll be the first to hear it I hope." I smirked.

"Of course." He laughed.

We got back to the apartment and Jai let us in, helping us to unload the bags into the kitchen before abandoning us to do the hard work - typical. I grabbed a few glasses out of the cupboard and started filling them with the drinks we had bought as Jake filled bowls with crisps and nuts.

"Boo!" Jake suddenly yelled, making me jump out of my skin as I shrieked in terror, making him howl with laughter.

"You devious boy." I said at him, attempting to be serious but failing as a smirk crept onto my face.

The conversation went silent as our faces were only inches apart, his smile slowly decreasing as his eyes relaxed and looked down at my lips. I did the same, slowly moving closer to him until our lips linked together, moving in perfect synchronisation.

"Not so single anymore?" Jake whispered with a smirk as we pulled away. I smiled, shaking my head up at him as he smiled down at me. "Now that is cause for celebration." He laughed.

"Let's take the drinks in." I laughed, pulling away from him and taking a few of the glasses on a tray as Jake took the others.

We handed out the drinks to the others who seemed to be dying of dehydration. "This is my party - I'm not meant to be the slave here." I laughed sarcastically. We decided we'd wait until a bit later until we told everyone about what had just happened, since I didn't really know what would happen from here.
