Ruby's POV
"Pizza is served in the kitchen!" Jai called down the hall, making everyone run through immediately as the savages we are.
James dived in first, almost tripping over as he managed to grab the largest slice of pepperoni pizza which made us all laugh. After things had calmed down we all went back into the lounge and sat around, deciding to play truth or dare as we had nothing better to do.
Beau spun the bottle that sat on the floor in the middle of the circle we had created by sitting around it, eagerly awaiting who would be the first. Me, of course.
"Hmm, truth." I smirked, I wasn't exactly up for a dare in the middle of eating my pizza.
"Who were you with at the cafe?" Jai asked, Luke instantly darting him the evils as my stomach dropped. I scanned the faces of the others as they all looked between Jai and I with confusion.
"What do you mean?" I tried to lie but instantly felt my falseness showing to the others.
"Luke was too scared to ask." Jai laughed as Luke shot him an even worse look this time.
"I was with myself," I laughed, trying to cover up my emotion. I looked over to Luke as he looked down into his lap with a frown on his face, he seemed to almost always know when I was lying.
Tension and silence filled the room as everyone instantly knew something had happened, although no one knew what just yet. I had to get out of there.
"I'll go get drinks, anyone want one?" I asked, changing the topic as I stood up. Everyone told me what they wanted and I made my way to the kitchen.
"I'll come and help." Jai called, making my stomach drop as I really wanted to be alone for a few minutes at least.
I took a few glasses out of the cupboard as Jai pulled out the drinks from the fridge, remaining quiet for a few seconds before Jai broke it.
"Were you with anyone? I won't tell." He said quietly as he edged towards me.
I sighed, putting the glass in my hand down onto the counter. "I can't say, I'll look pathetic." I said.
"You obviously need to tell someone, I promise you won't look pathetic." He replied.
"Jai, I was with Wayne. I don't know -" I started before he interrupted me.
"That guy tried to ruin your relationship with Luke and your friendship with all of us, you do remember that right?!" He whispered in anger.
"This is why I didn't want to tell anyone, I knew they wouldn't give me the time of day to try and explain that he has changed." I said as I carried on filling the glasses with drinks.
"And you know that from meeting him for five minutes?" He asked as he raised his voice, I knew he wouldn't understand.
"Meeting who?" Danni asked.
"She met up with Wayne again." Jai blurted out.
"Jai! You promised not to tell anyone." I yelled a little too loudly before storming out of the room and upstairs.
I pushed the bathroom door open and locked in behind me. I felt like such an idiot having to lock myself away but I only knew that they would come chasing after me or worse - Luke would find out.
I heard muffled conversations coming from downstairs, dreading what they could possibly be but knowing they were certainly be about me. "Just fucking tell me Jai!" I heard Luke shout loudly all of a sudden, he already sounded angry before finding out who I had seen. Tonight could only get worse from here.
