Chapter 47

Ruby's POV

It was so nice staying back at the apartment again, it had a sense of familiarity and safety that my new apartment didn't have. I slowly got out of bed, sorting out my hair before going downstairs to the kitchen.

"Morning!" Lucy cheerfully said, startling me a little as I was still half asleep.

"Morning." I smiled back. She left the kitchen and entered the lounge where I heard a few voices. I followed her in to see Luke, Jai, Beau and Kiana sat down.

"This time tomorrow I'll be on a plane back to LA!" Lucy smiled, she seemed so excited about it - unlike Daniel.

"No! You can't leave us girls alone, two against five!" Kiana whined, clinging onto Lucy.

"I'm sure Ruby and Jake will come around to save you girls every now and then." Lucy laughed, flashing me a smile. Yep, I would be coming around but not with Jake - I'll be living here.

"Well I'll come and help you start packing now." Kiana said, pulling Lucy up from the sofa. I could see Luke's eyes burning into the side of my head.

After a few seconds I was left alone with the three brothers, Beau and Jai probably oblivious to what had happened with Luke and I last night - unless he had told them of course.

"Alright, let's give them a bit of room Beau." Jai announced, giving me a small smile before standing up. They must know.

"What? Why?" Beau said with a confused look on his face, making me confused.

"Why do you think?!" Jai answered sharply.

"I have no idea! I'm staying right here." Beau said stroppily which made me laugh.

"Seriously, come on." Jai said, giving him 'the look'. Beau eventually gave in and followed his brother out of the room, leaving me and Luke alone so we could discuss what would happen today.

I went over and took a seat beside him so we didn't have to shout over the room to one another. "We're going to have to tell them today. I can't wait any longer." Luke said, looking into my eyes.

"I know, I just don't know how to tell Jake. I've only just got with him and I'm already ending it. I feel so bad." I sighed.

"Well if you tell him why and how you're feeling he'll understand won't he? He seems like a decent guy." He smiled, making me feel a bit better.

I nodded, my lips breaking into a smile. "What about Kiana? How will she take it?" I asked.

"Oh god, I don't even want to know." He sighed, leaning back on the sofa. "I'll just have to end it with her somehow, I don't know how I'll tell her about us though."

"Well, it has to be done. I'm going to go up now I think. I just want it over and done with." I said as I got up from my seat and walked over to the door. "Good luck." I smiled before leaving and going upstairs.

I opened the door to see Jake still asleep on the bed, he looked so sweet and innocent when he slept. His eyes flickered open and he gave me a warm smile.

"Morning. Do want to come downstairs? I need to talk to you." I said quietly. He nodded and sat up, rubbing his eyes as he still seemed half asleep.

"I'll be down in a few minutes," He said. I nodded and left the room, heading downstairs as I guessed Luke wouldn't have told Kiana yet.

I walked into the lounge to see her with him on the sofa, her eyes teary - I must've guessed wrong. Her eyes darted in my direction as they noticed me enter the room.

"Sorry I'll just-" I began as I backed away before she interrupted me.

"Wait! It's you isn't it?" She looked from me back to Luke. "You still love her! I bet you've been planning this all along!" She screamed, making me jump slightly.

Jai came in behind me, peering around my shoulder at the other two on the other side of the room. "What's going on?" He asked.

"Luke has been cheating on me with her!" She shouted.

"We haven't been-"I tried to explain but she just ignored me. Jai just looked down, trying to hide the fact that he must already know about Luke and I but obviously failing.

"Wait - you know as well?!" She shouted at Jai. He didn't say a word, just looked at her with pity. "Well I wonder if Jake knows then." She yelled at me.

I tried to stop her but I was too late. I couldn't bare to follow her and see Jake's face when she told him what had happened.
