Ruby's POV

I had spent the whole day constantly thinking about these threatening messages, who would do such a thing? I couldn't help but feel scared for my own life, and not only mine but Luke's too. No one should have to feel like that.

We all headed up to bed early as the boys had some work to go out and do the next day. I led Luke into my room, nervously peering out of the window as I shut the curtains, feeling like someone was watching us. Luke's phone buzzed yet again, sending a shiver up my spine.

He looked at me with pity and picked up his phone, unlocking it and reading the message. He shook his head with fear in his eyes as he pushed his hair to the side, handing me his phone.

'This is your final warning Luke. You're putting both of your lives in danger. The clock is ticking...' It read. I took a sigh, I knew what the right thing to do was, to keep us both safe.

"Maybe we should just go on a break - I don't want you or me to get hurt. This person seems serious." I said timidly.

He turned around, a look of almost disgust in his eyes. "What?" He asked seriously. "You're throwing away all we have because of some prank text?"

"We don't know it's a prank though Luke. I'm scared for us both." I admitted.

"Come on, we'll be fine. It's not like I'm going to let anyone get to you." He said, a little more softly this time.

"They're sending photos from outside our windows, they know where we live. We can't spend every second of the day together, plus you're going out tomorrow. How can you grantee I'll be okay then?" I said rapidly.

"It'll just be a jealous fan or something, it's ridiculous how far you're taking this." He said, sitting down on the bed.

"It's not just a jealous fan Luke, stop living in denial and face the facts. We need to do what they say." I said stubbornly.

"And since when have you done what people say? Since the night you took drugs? Drank too much alcohol? Went over the speed limit? Murdered an innocent man?" He spat, unable to stop himself. I was shocked.

I shook my head at him, narrowing my eyes to stop the tears that built up inside. "What the fuck has that got to do with anything? If you're going to constantly bring up the worst day of my life against me then maybe it's the best choice to leave you. I never realised how pathetic you were until today." I said harshly, I felt bad but he deserved it.

"Yeah, well maybe you should. It's not like our relationship meant anything to me anyway." He said bluntly, lying down on the bed. This time I couldn't hold back the tears, I never expected my first true love to end up being this hateful.

"I really hoped we could at least stay friends after this, but I guess not." I said.

I grabbed a blanket from the end of the bed and my pillow, heading out of the room and slamming the door closed. I ran down the stairs, choosing to sleep in the lounge, although anywhere would be better than beside Luke.

I set up my blanket on the couch and climbed under, sighing deeply as I grasped what had just happened; my life was slowly falling apart.

I woke up after my short sleep, hearing Luke, Danni and Beau's voices in the kitchen. I crept up the stairs as quietly as possible, hoping none of them would hear my footsteps, which luckily they didn't.

I didn't know what would happen now. My dream relationship had came to an end and he just turned out to be as bad as Wayne. I can't believe I didn't see it sooner.

I decided I wanted to go home, I wouldn't be happy here with a boy that hated me and a house full of happy couples. I pulled out my suitcase from the wardrobe, feeling like I lived out of this thing.

I started pulling my clothes out of the wardrobe, folding them and placing them delicately until I was interrupted by a knock at the door. I quickly ran over before they opened it, hoping they wouldn't see my suitcase.

"Alright?" Danni smiled at me as I opened it, relieving me that it wasn't Luke. I couldn't face him after last night.

"Not really." I admitted truthfully, sighing. "I've got some bad news." I said.

Her face dropped into a look of worry. "Can I come in?" She asked. I nodded and let her in, letting the suitcase on my bed show her the bad news. "Wait - why have you packed your suitcase?" She asked, confused.

I sighed once again, not wanting it to be true. "I'm going home." I said, sitting down on the bed, feeling like my heart had been torn in half.

She made a small gasp, sitting beside me immediately. "No! Why are you going?" She asked.

"I don't know if I can tell you why but I had a fight with Luke. He said he never cared about our relationship so I guess there's not much point in my staying." I replied.

"No, I'm sure he didn't mean it. You can't leave me!" She said a little louder.

"Sorry but I've made my decision." I said, standing up again to continue packing the last couple of things into my case.

"I'm going to kill that boy." She said, standing up and walking out of the room. I tried to stop her, explaining he didn't even know I was leaving but it was no use.

I carried on packing as I heard voices coming from downstairs, followed by a few people's footsteps racing up the stairs. I zipped up my suitcase, wiping the tear that had escaped onto my cheek.

I expected to see Luke but was instead presented with Beau who came crashing through the door, it was a relief to be honest. "You're not leaving! He can leave instead." He insisted, making me smile.

"You don't mean that Beau." I laughed. "I'll see you soon." I continued as Danni came through the door behind Beau.

"No, seriously, he can't make you want to leave." He said, blocking my exit from the door.

"I've made my mind up. It's not all his fault anyway - I'm sure he'll explain when I'm gone." I explained as I pushed past him with my suitcase.

I went downstairs, I could hear Luke's footsteps in the kitchen but wasn't surprised when he didn't show his face. I called a taxi, I just wanted to leave now, I didn't want to make a big fuss about it all.

"Why can't you just wait and sort it out? Please." Danni begged but I refused. What Luke had said ruined me and I couldn't bare to live with him.

The taxi arrived and I said goodbye to Danni and Beau, telling them to say goodbye to the others from me. I know it all happened so suddenly but I knew it'd have to happen sometime soon, I didn't want to live in danger or be unhappy for any longer than I had to.
