This chapter is pretty boring because it's just a fill in chapter but hopefully the next few chapters will be more exciting :)

Ruby's POV

I woke up to a surging headache, almost pinning me down to the bed that I lay on. I rubbed my eyes, trying to clear my head a little and turned my head to the right to see Wayne, making my stomach drop. Luckily he was asleep so I rapidly swung my legs out of bed and stood up.

I tiptoed out of the dark bedroom I had somehow ended up in, luckily fully clothed and paced down the stairs. No people seemed to be around other than in the kitchen which I widely avoided.

I slowly turned the front door handle and stepped outside, clutching hold of my bag. I walked out, pulling the door closed and paced away in case anyone heard. After I was a few doors away from the house I pulled my phone out of my bag, turning on my front facing camera to see the state I was in.

My makeup was a little smudged under my eyes and my hair was a bit messy but a part from that I didn't look too bad. I sorted out my appearance a little and took off my heels, I must say walking in bare feet isn't the most comfortable but it has to be better than heels when it's 7am.

I tried as hard as I could to retrace what could of possibly happened last night, only getting as far as falling asleep downstairs then awakening in that unknown bed, alongside Wayne.

I suppose all I can do now is pray that he didn't take advantage of me, even the thought if that makes me sick, and that he will leave me and Luke alone now.

Luckily I didn't live too far away - only a 10 minute walk - and there weren't many people out this early in the morning to see me walking the streets bare footed.

It suddenly hit me, today I'm going to France. I still haven't even booked the flight and I don't know which hotel they're in or anything. I pulled my phone out of my bag again and dialled Ronnie's number.

"Hello?"

"Hi Ronnie, it's Ruby. I'm just calling because I need to know where you guys are staying. I'm flying over later."

"Oh okay, I'll come and pick you up at the airport. What time are you coming?"

"That's the thing, I haven't actually booked the flight yet. I've been busy so I was thinking about just going to the airport and seeing if they have any available seats. I'll text you the time later." I explained.

He agreed and said goodbye, taking a little weight off my shoulders that I was almost sorted and could leave all this mess behind for a week.

I picked up my pace a little and finally arrived home, pushing the key into the door and opening it as slowly and quietly as possible. I peered into the lounge and kitchen to check no one was awake and paced upstairs.

I threw my heels onto the floor, quickly got changed and wiped off all the remaining makeup on my face and flopped onto my bed. I didn't feel the slightest bit tired after the deep sleep I had been drugged into so instead went on my phone.

A message popped up, from Wayne. I opened it to reveal a message that made my stomach turn: 'I hope you had as much fun as I did last night ;) see you soon xxxxx'

I instantly replied back, demanding to know what happened last night since I had completely blacked out. He replied saying nothing had happened, but I could never fully trust that boy.

I decided to get my mind off things by packing my suitcase, folding in as many shirts, shorts and jeans that I could fit inside it. I packed a few pairs of shoes and pulled out a casual outfit to wear on the flight over there.

After an hour of packing for the holiday away I had finally finished. I packed the last couple of essentials and walked downstairs to where my parents were, said my goodbyes to my mum and dragged my cases outside to the car.

My dad helped me to load them into the boot and then drove us off as my mum waved us off. We sat in silence for most of the journey, listening to mine and my dad's favourite Beatles album.

We finally arrived at the airport, taking my suitcases out of the cars boot and trailing them along behind us. I tightly hugged my dad goodbye, trying to hold back the tears.

"Stay safe love, I'll see you soon." He said as we hugged once more.

I said goodbye, waving to him as we both walked away. I went to the British Airways desk to see if there was any available seats on the plane to Paris.

"Hello, how may I help you?" A woman wearing glasses smiled up at me.

"Hello, I was just wondering if you had any available seats for a plane to Paris today?" I asked.

She typed something into her computer, after a couple of seconds her face warming. "Yes, there is an available isle seat on the flight at 1pm. That gives you 3 hours."

"Yeah that's fine, I'll buy that please." I replied, raking through my bag to find my purse. I paid the woman and took the boarding pass, heading over to the suitcase check-in.

After a few hours of waiting around the airport and walking through endless shops, my flight was called out on the voiceover. I picked up my hand luggage from beside me and made my way over to the terminal, handing my ticket in and boarding the plane.

Luckily I was seated next to a young couple, and not a screaming baby, allowing me to drift off to sleep until I landed in Paris.
