Ruby's POV
After a couple of hours of chilling out in the hotel room and talking to everyone we decided to go out on a touristy visit to the Eiffel Tower, I was so excited!
I pulled a handbag out of my suitcase and put my phone and a couple of other pieces into it and was ready to go. We headed out of the entrance of the hotel, only a couple of fans there this time who asked for pictures with the boys and we talked to for a bit.
We walked down the bright streets of Paris, hand in hand with Luke, it was perfect. I looked over to his beautiful face, a slight smile appearing as he saw me looking at him. I felt like the luckiest girl on earth.
"Ruby, can I talk to you quickly?" Danni said from behind me, breaking me from my trance. I nodded with a smile as I let go of Luke's hand and walked along side her.
She held me back for a couple of seconds, allowing the others to leave us behind a little; I was starting to become worried about what she wanted to talk about.
"What's going on? You've been acting weirdly ever since we picked you up." She said seriously.
"Oh, thanks." I laughed, looking over to her serious face that didn't break into any kind of smile. "Nothing's going on, I, I guess I was just tired." I lied with a fake smile.
Her face didn't break from the precious emotion, I could tell she didn't believe me. "I can tell there's something wrong, just tell me. You can trust me not to tell." She said, slightly smiling now as she placed her hand on my shoulder.
I gritted my teeth, remembering what Wayne had said. I couldn't tell anyone anything, not even about him let alone the actual secret. "No seriously, it's just an old friends relative passed away. I'll have to see her when I'm back." I said as confidently as I could.
"Oh okay," She said, still not looking convinced. I tried to change the subject as quickly as possible, taking her mind of the situation for now but I knew this wouldn't be the end.
We eventually reached the Eiffel Tower, taking stupid pictures around it, including one of Daniel pretending to be holding it but failing miserably.
Beau and Danni went into a local cafe to buy us all some drinks as we sat beneath the beautiful tower that stood over us, it was really quite mind blowing actually being in front of it.
"Earth to Ruby?" Jai said, waving his hand in front of my face, making me blink. "Are you still with us?" He laughed.
"Yeah," I laughed. "I'm just enjoying the view." I explained.
"Aren't I enough?" Luke whined sarcastically putting his head in his hands and making me laugh hysterically.
We spotted Danni and Beau making their way towards us with hands filled with bottles of coke and lemonade. I jumped up to help them, taking a couple of bottles and returning to my spot on the grass beside Luke.
"It's so good having you here." Luke smiled at me, making me smile madly back at him. I kissed him on the cheek, making the others create a mix of "Aw" and vomiting noises - which was of course from Daniel and James.
My phone started buzzing, a withheld number calling. "I'm just going to answer this call, one minute." I smiled, standing up and walking away as I answered the call, not knowing who it could be.
"Hey you, it's me." I heard the spine chilling voice of Wayne run into my ear.
"Why are you calling me?" I said, my face dropping into a serious look, not that he could see me. I looked over to the group, Danni watching me with concentration and quickly looking away as I caught her.
I decided to walk away a bit further to carry on the conversation, none of them could know anything about this.
"Because you're in bloody France and I'm not." He replied.
"Maybe there's a reason for that. Will you just leave me alone now? I'm trying to enjoy myself for once without you ruining it for me." I said harshly, not being able to stop myself. I knew he wouldn't appreciate that.
"No need to be so rude, you do realise how much I'm sparing for you by not telling your precious boyfriend what you did?" He stated, how could he?
"What I did? It was you as well, why are you even doing this to me?!" I asked with frustration.
"But I don't have any twats like Luke to keep it from." He laughed. "And I'm doing this because I can. It's for the best." He whispered mockingly.
"Right, because anything you do is for the best is it? I'm hanging up now." I replied, ending the call. He has basically just ruined my perfect day with my best friends. Great.
I took a few deep breaths, trying to calm myself down from what he had said before going back over to the others. I put on yet another fake smile and paced over, sitting down with them.
"Who was it?" Danni asked quickly.
"Just my Dad calling, wondering how in getting on. You know what he's like." I laughed.
"Aww, daddy's girl." Beau teased sarcastically, making me laugh and stopping Danni from questioning me anymore. I couldn't help but feel scared for what would happen next now that Danni had partially caught on.
