Chapter 4: Meeting Sky Lambert

I took directions from students in order to find my way to the school's inner pool.

Once i pushed through the large doors, I saw one of the biggest pools I've ever seen in my life in front of me. I stood there taking the view in then decided to change.

I went to the lockers and placed my bag in it taking out my swimming suit and changing my clothes.

Once i was done, i walked back up to realise a small group of people already in bathing suits stretching.

"Excuse me do swimming auditions occur here?" I asked a girl who just nodded and turned her head away.

Okay... After a few minutes of stretching, a group which consisted of 5 students came over to us.

The group was formed of 4 guys and 1 girl. Great way to boost my hope up.

"Hi guys, lets get this done with cause i really am not in the mood right now and I'm only here cause i happen to be the captain for the time being... oh I'm Sky Lambert by the way in case someone doesn't already know." The guy said winking at a group of girls.

Once he was done he removed his shirt. I stared in shock. I will be private tutoring this God. He was perfect.

Light brown hair, green eyes, freckles, dimples, the most defined jaw I had ever seen, a perfect 6packs wonderful V-lines... I was Melting!

"Okay who wants to begin?" He asked looking around as a guy came forward

"okay so you guys should be able to go back and forth this pool in less than 30 seconds. Ready? On my mark, get set, go" Sky said starting the chronometer as the guy jumped in the water swimming as fast as he could but clearly not fast enough. Once he got out of the water Sky faked a smile then said

"Thank you for trying again Robert but no." he said without any kind of sympathy towards the guy.

"Okay next" the entire session went that way until I was left with the girl I talked to first.

"Next ladies?" The guy who had replaced Sky said holding the chronometer and smiling brightly.

Sky was seated on a bench watching and basically breaking everybody's hope.

"Me" I replied stepping forward

"hey wait!" Sky said standing up "you're new right?" He asked coming forward looking hard at me.

His green eyes were really beautiful but i wouldn't let myself fall for his looks without actually knowing him

"yeah i transferred... today was my first day."

"And why would you transfer in the middle of the school year?" He asked.

"We changed houses" i replied not looking at him

"oh yeah sure" he said his voice deep making it crystal clear that he did not believe me.

"Get in position" he said as I straightened my back.

"On your mark," the guy holding the chronometer said; i breathed in and out bringing my legs closer together and closing my eyes

"get set" 'feel the energy of the water within you' my coach told me

"go" the guy said.

My legs jumped off the ground with enough strength to give me a head start making me proud.

I starting to swim over to the other end of the pool, my muscles contracting real quick, something I was used to do.

Once i reached the end I made a loop under the water swimming on my back and before i could reach the front of the pool, my shoulder got dislocated causing me to stop before i could reach the end yelping in pain.

"Why did you stop?" Sky asked seeming exhausted and disappointed.

"I got a shoulder dislocation." I replied swimming with one hand and sitting on the edge of the pool.

"How much time did she take" Sky asked coming towards me

"14 seconds! she's  good" the guy said.

"Yeah but not good enough" Sky answered getting on one of his knees in front of me.

"Breathe, I'll put it back in its place." He said placing his palm on my shoulder.

"1,2,3" i sucked in a deep breath as i heard a loud crack.

"You okay?" He asked looking at me.

"Yeah thank you" I said

"sure. I'm sorry by the way even though you have everything I need to get you in the team, I cant take you if your shoulder might get dislocated." He said helping me up.

"I understand" I said feeling my eyes fill with tears as i removed my hand from his. I walked back to the locker, put my clothes back on and left without glancing behind me. Once i got up the stairs, i realised the football team leaving the green field. I spotted Jason's hair and walked over to him.

"Hey cutie." He said smiling brightly then his face turned into a frown once he realised i was sobbing

"what's wrong?" He asked but i couldn't answer i had a huge knot in my throat.

So he just hugged me as i soaked his shirt with tears.

"Let me drive you home" he said taking my car keys from me. He helped me into the car lovingly then got in and began to drive as he kept on throwing glances my way.

"I didn't get accepted." I said after a short period of time. Jason remained silent.

"My shoulder got dislocated." I said as he looked at me with shock his mouth falling open.

"I was so close to getting in but they wouldn't let someone who could easily have a shoulder dislocation into their team so i didn't get accepted. I feel so stupid." I said sobbing again.

Jason placed his arm around my shoulder pushing me closer towards him as i laid on his chest.

"Hush baby, you never knew its not your fault." He kept on saying smooth words until i didn't feel like crying anymore. The car came to a halt as he smiled at me.

"Here we are" he said gesturing to my house as i realised he took the address from the GPS.

"How will you get back home?" I asked him.

"Ill walk its only a few blocks away."

"No its dark outside you cant walk."

"I'll be fine don't worry about me."

"no Jason take my car and tomorrow you come give me a ride to school." Jason waited a few moments as if weighing the pros and the cons.

"You're sure?" He asked I smiled.

"Okay I'll see you tomorrow then and here's my number." He said grabbing a pencil and a paper he found in his bag. Call me when you're ready."

"Okay thank you Jason for everything" 

"no thank you baby" he said kissing my cheek as we hugged one last time and he drove away taking my car with him.
