Living a Double Life

Chapter 39: The Last Memory.

"You are mine. Do you agree to be mine and only mine?" Sky asked me.

"Yes!!" I reply smiling big.

"So you are now my official girlfriend." Sky said placing his hand around my waist making butterflies erupt in my stomach.

"Oh yeah just so you know I am the jealous type so please stay away from guys so we could have the least possible number of dead people." I laugh at that as I agree with him.

We walk back to the house and decide to call it a day. Sky kisses me good night before entering his room that is adjacent to mine.

I enter my room a smile sprawled all over my face.

That night, I couldn't really sleep no matter how hard I tried. It was a problem I faced each time I change my house.

Sighing, I walk out of my room silently careful as not to wake anybody else up.

I sat in the salon with a cup of tea in my hands. I stared at nowhere as boredom and tiredness started to take the best of me. I was tired but simply couldn't sleep and I couldn't understand why.

My eyelids felt heavy and I felt in need of sleep but I just couldn't get myself to actually do it.

I was hoping for darkness to take over me or for something actually fun to happen when I heard a sharp scream.

YASMINE!!!!

I ran up the stairs grabbing a knife from the kitchen and opened her door slowly to find her sitting in her bed panting fully awake.

"You alright?" I asked her as I hugged her.

"Daniel, where the fuck is Daniel??" She asked pushing me away and running to his room. I followed her.

"He's asleep Yas don't wake him up." I tried to reason with her but it was a helpless case.

"Daniel!!" She yelled once she found him in his bed and ran towards him.

The minute she hit her head on his chest he woke up.

"Baby are you okay?" He asked her snuggling her in his arms.

"Oh my God you're fine. You're alright." She said tightening her grip around him.

Daniel looked at me frowning as if asking me what had happened. I simply open up my arms answering that I had no idea.

"I had a bad dream she started. Can I sleep with you?" Yas asked him.
I smiled at how cute they were together.

"Of course baby." He said as he draped her in his arms and covered her body placing slow kisses on her forehead.

I walked out of the room shutting the door behind me. As I walked past Yasmine's room I found the knife on the ground I grabbed it in my arm and placed it back in its place.

I took my seat again in the couch. Oh well thank you thats what I call some action but it wasn't fun. I remained seated a while longer when I heard quick footsteps on the stairs.

Sky had an extremely worried expression on his face when he came to me.

"Oh my God you're here." He hugged me tight as I inhaled his perfume. "I entered your room and you weren't there I was worried sick." He said tightening his hold around me.
"Why are you here anyways?" He asked me.

"I can't sleep though I'm going to go try again cause I really am tired. Why are you here?" I asked.

"I got thirsty so I got up and decided to check on my lovely girlfriend but I didn't find her in bed so I came rushing down here to check if her car is still here or not." He said grabbing my waist in his strong hands watching me in the eye.

"Okay I'm gonna go to my room once you're done come up to me." I say walking away.

Once I reached my room I got into the bed. A few minutes later, Sky followed me.

"I guess the cushion is the thing that is keeping you for sleeping. Here try my arm it might feel better." Sky said as he got in bed with me and opened his arm for me to sleep on."

"Id rather the shoulder." I said crawling to sleep on it. Within seconds I was asleep.

The next morning I woke up and Sky was entirely underneath me. He had his arms wrapped around my torso fully awake.

"Good morning babe." He said. I planted a kiss on his cheek.

"How long have you been awake?" He glanced at his watch before answering.

"33 minutes starting..... Now." He answered.

"Why didn't you wake me up?"

"You seemed so peaceful I couldn't." He replied kissing my lips tenderly.

"Come on let's go." I said.

"Noooo let's cuddle for a while." Sky said.

"Fine but only a few minutes. " I replied smiling and let's just say that we didn't leave the bed before a good 1 hour.

Once we got up and got dressed after taking a shower ignoring Sky's sneaky remark about saving water, we were out of my room.

"There's no coffee." Sam said the second we reached downstairs. "Could you guys go get some?" She asked.

"Yeah sure." Sky said looking at me. I just shrugged. He ran up the stairs grabbed my keys and came back down.
"I'll drive." He said.

"Okay do we need anything else?" I ask Sam.

"No not that I know off. I'll text you if I need anything." She said.

We walked out the front door and into the car. Everything was going smoothly until we reached a one-way road. We got on it since it was our lane. Suddenly a truck came out of nowhere getting on the road we were at. Sky honked at him but I could tell the guy is drunk.

"He's drunk Sky hes drunk." I panicked.

"I wont let anything happen to you I promise." Sky said. Though if he steered, we would fall off a cliff on either side so all we could do was stop and hope that the crash wasn't too harsh.

Within seconds, Sky had his arms around me covering me from the hit as I hid my head in his neck and grabbed his hand in mine. Nevertheless once the drunk truck hit us, we fell down the cliff and darkness overtook me as I saw my life flash before my eyes in a matter of seconds.
