As i stood there, i watched my mother walk over to my father holding another man's hand. Dad had an arm secured around Jamie's shoulders as he smiled proudly.

She came here to fuck the mood, I muttered to myself. If not she wouldn't have come with her new boyfriend. I watched closely as her mouth started to move a smirk playing across from it and my daddy stiffened entwining his fingers with Jamie's as the latter seemed confused.

"Maria! Come on." Robert said grabbing me a chair as he knelt in front of me.

"Okay listen," he said " i want you to forget what's happening up there. All you have to focus on is the... Are you listening to me?" Robert asked as i stated at my mom the entire time he was talking to me. I turned around to face him.

"Yes. Partially... No." I replied feeling guilty.

"Okay focus! I want you to focus only on the competition... To hell what happens upstairs. Take your revenge! That of last year. The time when you gave all you got and got no credit in return what-so-ever." I felt the anger boil in me again.

I threw the idea of my parents to the back of my mind again... I had to win the 100m sprint. I felt myself suddenly frown as Robert frowned back at me.

"Exactly thats what i want from you. You need your revenge more than anything else." He said.

"Please dearest swimmers get ready."
Robert patted my back and left. I placed my towel back with my stuff drank a sip of water and stood on number 6.

"Where is number 9??" The guy asked as we all looked around.

"She seems to have... Left." The guy said.

"Well we wont be waiting so..." Someone came and whispered something in his ear.

"Oh... Its sad to know that number 9 gave up even though she won the 50m which leads us to having only one solo numbeeeeerrr 6!" And i heard a growl of cheers.

"On your mark." I have to win!

"Get set." This is my competition and my trophy.

"Go." No one will take it from me. I dived in head first surfacing real quick and swam in the fastest way possible. I traced the end and turned on my back again. I was already tired and i felt an ache in my chest. I knew i was doing it again... loosing too much energy but i couldn't care less. I had to win.

I swam quick as i inhaled deeply and only a few meters before arriving, i heard it. I heard the crack in my shoulder... It got dislocated.

I yelped in pain but nevertheless i didn't give up. I still had one hand and two feet i swam over to the end with them keeping my head under water.

The second i touched the end of the pool i was drawn out of it. Robert saw it and came to hold me out. He tried to place it back but for the first time, it didn't get back into its place.

My dad came rushing towards me. I was way too hurt to open my eyes. I felt a towel being draped around me and someone carrying me away.

"Keep on breathing it will be alright." The guy said as i held my shoulder with my second hand as the pain kept running through my arm killing me.

"Breathe in." The guy said as i was placed on a bed. I had my eyes shut the entire time.

"Okay it might hurt but there's no other possible way except for an operation." The guy said. I nodded

"breathe!" He yelled pushing on my shoulder. I cried in pain... It didn't work.

"Again!" The guy said "breathe". He pushed my shoulder again earning only another yell.

"This is useless." I cried out.

"She needs an operation. Call the emergency." There was pure silence as i was left alone with my thriving shoulder. I was crying. I knew i was as in a few minutes 2 people came in carrying me into an ambulance i guessed from all the sound.

"Please fast!" I whispered still having my eyes shut. After what seemed like forever, people rushed me into an operation room where i was given a dose to sleep off and then i could feel nothing.
