CHANGE FIFTY – FIVE : STAY WITH ME.

Nathan’s POV :

As I lay my eyes upon her, the world seems to be different. Every angle of her face and every shade of her was beyond extraordinary. Since the day my first love left me, that’s the day I didn’t care about the world. I’m insensitive and considered as an arrogant jerk yet I just don’t care anymore.

The day before the first day of school for my Freshmen year, I was in my sister’s office watching her counting all the transferees and enrollees to this school year.

“There’s a total of four hundred new enrollees, my dear brother.” She said smiling at me while holding some papers. I just stared at her and cock my head on the other side. She ‘tsk’-ed and continued working, “Oh, we have a special enrollee.”

“What?”

She looks at me, “You know, special enrollee. Hagja. Ulineun olhae hagja hagsaeng iissda.”  ( Scholar. We have a scholar student this year. )

I stared at her, damn what? “Wae i ganeunghada? Simjieo heoyong ingayo?!” (Why is that possible? Is that even allowed?! ) She hands me a paper which is the enrollee’s profile, I scanned the paper. It has a 2x2 picture of a girl wearing glasses. I stared at her eyes and it was too late to realize that I wasn’t able to let go of that piece of paper as a smile form my lips.

She was a late enrollee because her application as a scholar of an elite school has so many damn things to do. I’ve searched for her. I didn’t like the thought of going to classes but I felt so eager to look for her, to find her. I didn’t mind the girls screaming and chanting shits with my name but the search took me long enough that I’ve lost my interest.

Until the day comes, I was with the guys when I accidentally bumped a girl. She wasn’t looking at the way—its her fault. She’s stupid. She was caught by surprise, she fell and her papers scattered to the ground.

“Ay!” She protested as she stares at her papers, I was looking at her coldly. Why isn’t she moving? Slowly, she tilts her head up to see me and as soon as I saw her face that’s when my heart starts to beat faster than before. It was very unsual because I never thought she could be so beautiful.

“Move away. Pabo.” I said as I try to control myself. I couldn’t help but to stare at her, she was fckin’ hypnotizing. I need to keep my cool, I shook my head and ‘tsk’-ed as I made my way out. I continued but then I heard her murmured something,

“Napaka yabang. Gwapo ka sana ang yabang mo lang.” I should be pissed but it turns to be the other way around. I was smiling the whole time remembering how beautiful she is and how lovely her voice was. Since that day, I can’t avoid to take glances at her.
