The last thing Kyra wanted was company of any kind, so she decided to leave her pokémon at the pokémon centre. She planned on coming back tomorrow morning at the latest, so asked Nurse Joy to tell Nate and Willow as such. That way they wouldn't worry about her unnecessarily.

Kyra made sure she had some food in her bag as well as her sleeping bag and tent with her before leaving, knowing she would much rather spend the night alone then come back this evening.

Out of the places of the Sinnoh Region Kyra had never been to, Mount Coronet was by far the place she wanted to go most.

There was something drawing her to it, similar to how she had been drawn to the statues in Eterna City. Part of her was worried it meant another encounter with Cyrus, but at this point, she would rather meet with him again to let her temper out.

Mount Coronet loomed high above above Sinnoh Region. Most trainers feared Mount Coronet due to how easy it was to get lost, but Kyra wasn't afraid. For some reason, she was confident she would be able to make it to Spear Pillar despite never having been inside Mount Coronet before.

Despite the warnings for strong pokémon in the area ahead, Kyra continued on. She had to figure out what was drawing her to Spear Pillar.

But now she was inside, there was a very much eerie and off-putting vibe. Had she made a mistake in coming alone with no backup whatsoever?

As Kyra grew more worried she had made a bad decision, she grabbed her Staff from her bag and made sure she had some sort of defense against anything that may attack her.

Any time Kyra came to a turning, she knew exactly where to go. The numerous turns of the labyrinthine maze didn't faze her, and she soon reached an the half way point. She checked her Pokétch to see it was mid-afternoon, she was beginning to feel slightly hungry so decided to stop for some lunch, making sure she kept her Staff close just in case.

The views from where Kyra was sat was just what she needed. Since she was sat facing the west of the Region, she could just about see all the way to Twinleaf Town. Then came the bittersweet feelings, something Kyra knew all too well would be coming, but was still nowhere near ready for.

As much as she had loved journeying with her pokémon thus far, she was beginning to consider stopping travelling and take a break already. Again she had let her emotions get the better of her and had upset Nate and Willow, and this time, Lucario and Eevee had also been upset. It would be easier to just forget she had left home at all and go back, she desperately wanted to restart and treat the mistakes she had made as if they hadn't happened.

But that was a luxury she would never get. What had happened, had happened. There was nothing she could do to change it.

After deciding to continue on her journey despite her desires to stop, she continued her trek up to Spear Pillar. The strange calling stronger than ever now.

It was beginning to get slightly colder, now that she was getting closer to the summit, so she decided to put her coat on for some extra warmth. That small stop to grab her coat from her bag, which hadn't lasted longer than a minute, had posed extremely dangerous.

Before Kyra could put her coat on, she saw she was surrounded by a horde of pokémon. Upon checking her pokédex, she worked out they were a family of Bronzor and Bronzong, and they were clearly unhappy with their territory being entered.

Before Kyra could do anything to try and get away or defend herself, she was hit with multiple Hypnosis' and collapsed.

Little did Kyra know however, she wasn't alone in Mount Coronet. Cyrus was also working on some training with his pokémon nearby.
