Cyrus knew where the best place to battle Kyra would be, the cave in the centre of the town held a lot of historical value, not only that, but he would be able to educate Kyra on just why the world needed changing. Nate and Willow were both worried for Kyra, Lucario and Eevee sharing the same concerns.
"From what I gathered from my Commander and Grunts, I take it you wish to change the world like I do, just in a different way, correct?" Cyrus asked.
Kyra sighed, "No, I have no desire to change this world. The people and pokémon should be the ones to adapt to the world, not the world adapt to a selfish jerk's desires," she replied.
"Well at this stage, there are three pokémon that keep this world in balance. Neither one of us can have our ultimate desires. Or do you have a different view point?" Cyrus asked.
Kyra thought for a moment, she had a vague idea of which three pokémon Cyrus was referring to, but she wanted proper confirmation before jumping to conclusions. "If by the three pokémon you mean the Lake Guardian's, then I both agree and disagree with you. I agree in the sense you cannot have your desire whilst the three are protecting Sinnoh, but they will help my ideals if they can," she replied.
"So you know of Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie already? Willpower, Emotions, and Knowledge. One of the two sets of Sinnoh Guardian's. I assume by that you also know of Dialga and Palkia considering we first met by their statues...and what about Giratina, what are you thoughts on him?" Cyrus asked.
Kyra was beginning to grow impatient with all the questions, it was as if Cyrus was deliberately trying to taunt her into snapping and releasing her aura. But she wasn't going to give in to what he wanted.
"This isn't a game of twenty questions, unless you're really that scared of battling me. Dialga and Palkia protect Time and Space respectively, as for Giratina, I don't know much besides him being stuck in the Distortion World where he should be," Kyra retorted, hoping to finally get her battle with Cyrus underway.
Cyrus was impressed by Kyra's knowledge of the Legendary pokémon, and now he finally knew where Giratina was. "You're insistent on having our battle, so I'll give you what you want. We'll battle three on three, is that OK with you?" he asked, giving in and letting Kyra have the battle she had been waiting for.
Kyra knew which three pokémon she would be using already; if Cyrus used the pokémon she expected him to that was. Kyra knew Cyrus had a Weavile and a Golbat, but she had no idea on who else he would use.
"We'll send out our first pokémon at the same time, that way there's no chance of either of us feeling we're at a disadvantage," Kyra said, ready to send out her first pokémon. Cyrus nodded and got his first pokéball ready to be thrown too.
Kyra told Nate and Willow to look after Eevee and watch from the sidelines without getting involved, the two agreed to and anxiously watched the battle unfold.
"Luxray, come on out,"
"Honchkrow, let's go,"
As Luxray saw her opponent was A Honchkrow, she looked back towards her trainer in search of comfort.
"It's ok Luxray, I'm not close enough for your Discharge to hit me this time. Just relax and remember I'm right here if you need me," Kyra reassured, making sure Luxray knew everything would be ok.
Cyrus was initially going to let Kyra have the first move, but instead he decided against it. A Luxray would be a difficult opponent for Honchkrow to face at the best of times, especially now since he knew said Luxray had enough power to severely shock a human.
"Honchkrow, use Night Slash," Cyrus called, making the first move of the battle.
Honchkrow flew up and dived down towards Luxray, his wings sharpening as he dove. Luxray trusted Kyra to make the right call and predicted it in advance.
