Kyra, Lucario, and Glaceon looked around them as they landed in the Distortion World, concerned and intrigued at what they saw.

It was dark, not too dark so it was impossible to see, but dark enough to cause even more confusion. There was nothing normal about the world they now stood in, numerous floating platforms of numerous different orientations littering the surroundings as far as the eye could see. The ground beneath their feet was a rusty colour, with tall, kelp like trees being the only kind of vegetation in the world.

"I knew that the Distortion World was meant to be a creepy place, but this is a whole other level," Kyra said, shivering as she got her coat from her bag to try and warm herself up.

Lucario had cuddled up close to her trainer to try and share the little warmth she still had. Glaceon was trying to share her warmth too, but she could only do so much due to being cold to begin with.

Kyra slipped her coat on and retied her scarf to hold in as much warmth as possible, the Distortion World had no sunlight whatsoever and it was well below freezing temperatures. She regretted coming to the Distortion World, having greatly underestimated just how bad it would be. But she couldn't turn back now, she had to save Cyrus as she had came to.

"We need to get moving, hopefully it'll help us warm up. Stay close to me, I don't want either of you getting lost," Kyra suggested, hoping that walking around would help keep the three of them slightly warmer.

As the three walked, they noticed four smaller masses of land and decided to investigate them. Kyra didn't want her pokémon going first just in case it would be dangerous, so instead, she jumped onto the first platform after putting Glaceon on Lucario's shoulder.

Kyra wearily jumped to the next platform, that too holding her weight, so she jumped to the third platform. She didn't want to risk jumping to the fourth platform just incase it didn't hold her weight, so she tried to look for anything of use to figure out where Cyrus was.

All that Kyra could see that was new was a couple of platforms at a right angle to the one she was currently standing on, completely defying all laws of gravity. She decided to head back to Lucario and Glaceon, this clearly wasn't the right way to go.

Thanks to Kyra coming back to the main platform, she noticed a previously unseen walkway towards another, much larger, floating platform to the right. "We'll try that way next, at least that platform looks big enough to support all of us."

Glaceon jumped down from Lucario's shoulder and walked beside Kyra since Lucario wanted to go ahead to ensure it was safe this time. Kyra wasn't happy with Lucario going first, but at least this she could make sure that Giratina didn't try and attack her or her pokémon from behind.

Lucario thoroughly checked the platform with her aura for any signs of danger. Once she was satisfied it was safe, she stepped onto the platform; letting Kyra and Glaceon follow after another check.

Again, there seemed to be no way off of the platform besides the way they had come. Kyra walked to the edge in the hope of finding something slightly lower down that they could safely jump down to, but that ended poorly as she saw the spiralling abys of nothing below her. The panick of falling to the depths of the abys below terrified her and made her feel faint, she wanted to look away, but her body was stopping her from moving.

Lucario and Glaceon saw that Kyra was just standing at the edge and looking down, they were both worried and walked over to their trainer to try and bring her back to finding Cyrus. Before either pokémon could get to their trainer, the ground beneath them began to move lower, making Kyra lose her footing in the process.

To Lucario and Glaceon's relief, Kyra fell backwards rather than forwards and fell to the platform, but it had certainly been a close call.

"We're so high up, you can't see the bottom of the World here. It never ends. We'll never find Cyrus," Kyra said, completely lost for hope.
