Victoria walked upstairs to check on Kyra after making her a hot chocolate. Kyra had always been cheered up by it in the past, Victoria hoped that this time wouldn't be any different.

"Kyra's still upset?" Victoria asked, noticing that Lucario and Glaceon were still sat outside their trainer's room.

The two pokémon nodded, they wanted to help their trainer, but they didn't know how.

Victoria knocked on Kyra's door and waited for a response before walking in.

"I explained before that I don't want to hurt you two. Go downstairs and be with Mum," Kyra said, assuming that Lucario and Glaceon were trying to get her attention again.

"I brought you a hot chocolate if you want it. Lucian said you injured your back whilst in the Distortion World, do you want me to check it for you?" Victoria asked, letting Kyra know she was there for her.

Kyra, as much as she didn't want any company, wanted her back to be in less pain. Lying down didn't help in any way, and sitting down was just as awkward. "Ok, you can come in."

Victoria thanked Kyra and persuaded Lucario and Glaceon to leave Kyra for the time being until she had calmed down. The two pokémon agreed to do so and went to explore the house a bit.

It was clear that Kyra had been crying, Victoria offered Kyra a hug to comfort her after putting the hot chocolate down on her desk. Kyra walked over and accepted said hug, giving Victoria the opportunity she needed to manipulate Kyra's mind into believing Cyrus had controlled her and she erased any and all memories of Giratina.

"Do you want to talk about what's on your mind whilst I see to your back? Or would it be easier if I distracted you?" Victoria asked, willing to do what Kyra felt would help her best.

Kyra was torn between talking to Victoria and a distraction. As much as she remembered a little more about what had happened now, she didn't want to think back to it yet. "Can I have the distraction please?"

Victoria nodded and let Kyra prepare herself, the most important thing was to clean and dress the wound before it could become infected. Kyra's en-suite had plenty of plasters and bandages since she was never particularly careful, Victoria was glad she had kept them there.

"Sorry for my coat and shirt getting ripped, I just wish I knew how it had happened," Kyra apologised as Victoria readied a flannel to clean the wound on Kyra's back.

"You don't need to worry about them, I can fix them for you easily enough. It may take a few days, but I'll get it done. Is your scarf ripped at all?" Victoria asked, trying to veer the conversation away from Kyra lacking a fairly significant memory.

Kyra took of her scarf both to check it over and to make it easier for Victoria to get to the wound. To her relief, the scarf was in tact. Considering how much pain Kyra had unintentionally put herself if when she accidentally rolled onto her back as she tried to get comfortable earlier, she had worked out that the origin of the wound was roughly at the height of her shoulders, just in the centre of her back. She removed her shirt since there was little chance of Victoria tending to her wound without being able to see it.

Victoria was concerned by the depth of the wound more than anything else, the slight downwards cut that had been made was clearly painful, but the depth of the wound as a whole was worrying. "It'll take a while for this to heal, I'll tend to it for you whilst you're here, that way I know it'll be done properly."

"Are you saying I can't tend to my own wounds? I've done it before, remember? When I helped you with cooking and accidently cut my finger, I sort it out then," Kyra reminded, not wanting to be a burden on Victoria.
