As Kyra walked into Lucian's battle chamber, she saw Lucian was sat in the corner, reading a book with Espeon reading from where he was sat on Lucian's shoulder. She wasn't the least bit surprised, any time Lucian had some time to himself, he would always spend it reading.

"So you beat the others, I'm impressed, although I knew all along you would. Bare with me whilst I finish this chapter, I'm hooked and you know what I get like when I get hooked. You, Lucario, and Glaceon should get some rest, no offence, but you look awful Kyra," Lucian said as he briefly glanced up from his book.

Kyra was beginning to feel the tiredness setting in from her aura usage. Lucario got a couple of Kyra's blankets from her bag and put them on the floor so Kyra had somewhere to rest. Kyra led down on one of the blankets, snuggling up under the other, Lucario led down so Kyra's could rest her head on her, Glaceon snuggled up close to Kyra to keep her company.

Lucian smiled from where he was sat, seeing Kyra back to her normal cheery self was just the mood boost he needed today. It had been lonely alone in the battle chamber, waiting for someone finally strong enough to take him on. Yes, the reading kept him occupied and he had Espeon for company, but it wasn't the same as company he could talk to.

Kyra slept to give her body time to recover, her aura was much calmer than it had been in the past so it hadn't worn Kyra out so much. Lucian still managed to finish his chapter before Kyra woke up, but he didn't have time to do much else.

"Feeling better now?" Lucian asked as Kyra sat up to put her blankets back in her bag.

Kyra nodded, "Yeah, thanks. How was your book?"

Lucian laughed slightly, "I'm glad to hear it. The book's great, I was expecting it to take me much longer to read, but I'm already three quarters of the way through and I only started this morning."

The two laughed, Kyra had always been intrigued by the books Lucian read. She had read a couple of them herself, the fiction ones at least; she had enjoyed the most of what she read.

"Anyway, now that you've recovered from your aura usage, we can have our battle. It'll be a four on four with no substitutions, if that's ok with you? I have two pokémon that overlap Types that I was intending to use, and since I don't want you taking advantage of that, a four on four is the next best thing," Lucian asked, arranging the battle conditions.

Kyra was glad to hear that she'd only be battling in a four on four, it gave her aura less chance to come out again. Yes, they seemed to be working together for the time being, but Kyra didn't want to take any risks.

It was easy deciding which pokémon would battle first for both trainer's. Espeon and Glaceon wanted to battle one another, neither of their trainer's had chance to call another pokémon out before the two jumped onto the field to face one another.

"Alright Glaceon, start off with your ice battle field," Kyra said, letting Glaceon set up her key strategy to counter quicker opponents.

Glaceon jumped up to set up her strategy, Espeon keeping a close eye on her from where he was stood in front of his trainer. He knew that acting without Lucian's strategy wasn't a good idea, he needed confirmation as to what to do.

"Protect yourself from that with Light Screen," Lucian said, staying calm since he knew Espeon would start stressing out the second he began to show concern.

Espeon shielded himself with Light Screen, he had jumped up just before Glaceon's Ice Beam had hit the field just in case his paws were frozen to the field.

Glaceon landed and slid from side to side in front of Kyra, trying to taunt Espeon into attacking her. She had taken Kyra's quietness as a sign of her thinking of a strategy, Glaceon offered her help in the sense of her sliding being an intimidation tactic.
