Once Lucario was sure everyone else was asleep, she decided to go outside and do some more training with forming and using Aura Sphere. Perhaps being alone would help her concentrate more.
There was no one else nearby, much to Lucario's relief, giving her the opportunity to train alone. She found some rocks she could use as targets and began focussing her aura once more.
As Lucario focused her aura into forming an Aura Sphere, she sensed Kyra's aura and figured she had accidently woken her trainer.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you," Lucario apologised.
"It's fine, I wasn't really sleeping well anyway. Still trying to form an Aura Sphere?" Kyra replied, still standing in the doorway.
Lucario nodded, "I can't do it. I just can't concentrate enough," she sighed. Tempted to just give up trying to use Aura Sphere once and for all.
"I have an idea, I'm just going to grab my slippers and I'll be out to join you. Keep trying for now," Kyra said, not wanting her feet to get cold since she guessed she and Lucario would be training for a while.
Kyra quietly went back to grab her slippers, making sure she wouldn't wake the others. She thought back to what Maylene had said earlier about focussing concentration into an Aura Sphere, but maybe concentrating too hard was Lucario's problem. Relaxing and letting the Aura Sphere without stressing over it would hopefully help.
Whilst Kyra went to grab her slippers, Lucario again tried forming Aura Sphere's. Nothing she tried worked and she quickly grew irritated by her lack of strength.
Kyra walked over to her partner and hugged her, she could tell that Lucario was getting annoyed and needed calming down first. Her slippers wasn't the only thing she had got whilst inside.
"First of all, you need to calm down and loosen up a bit. Whilst at the mall earlier, I brought myself some chocolate I haven't had in ages, and I got some spare bars too for times like this. It has an amazing centre which just melts in your mouth, you should try some," Kyra explained, unwrapping the chocolate bar and breaking off a piece for herself and one for Lucario.
Lucario had never had chocolate before, or anything like it, she could see Kyra clearly enjoyed it and was willing to try it. Kyra and Lucario ate their pieces at the same time, both of them enjoying them.
"This really is good, thanks Kyra," Lucario thanked, nuzzling Kyra's cheek.
Kyra was glad Lucario liked the chocolate too and that she was a bit more relaxed now. Hopefully this would help Lucario in forming Aura Sphere's.
"Alright, shall we try a different approach to Aura Sphere now? I know Maylene and her Lucario said earlier that you needed to concentrate hard in order to form an Aura Sphere, but that works well for those two. Maybe for you, concentrating too hard is why you can't form anything. Take it easy, worrying too much is just as bad as not putting any effort in at all," Kyra explained, posing her idea to Lucario.
Lucario nodded, "I'll try relaxing with it a bit more. Thanks Kyra, I'll try it," she replied, turning back to the rocks and trying to form an Aura Sphere again.
Instead of worrying about her concentration, Lucario instead closed her eyes and willed an Aura Sphere to form between her paws.
"That's it Lucario, keep it up, you're doing well," Kyra said, glad to see the small Aura Sphere beginning to form between Lucario's paws.
Lucario knew that getting excited wouldn't help her, it would made things worse, so she kept her cool and continued to make her Aura Sphere stronger before throwing it towards the rocks.
