"Glaceon, the Fresh Snow Pokémon, an Ice Type, and the evolved form of Eevee. The main defense mechanism of this pokémon is to freeze its fur and shoot out the frozen quill like spikes. These pokémon are loyal to their trainer's and are rarely found in the wild," Kyra's pokédex explained.

Glaceon was glad she had decided to evolve, she felt much stronger and was looking forward to taking on Team Galactic with said new power. She jumped onto Kyra's shoulder and made herself comfortable, to her relief she was still able to claim Kyra's shoulder as her comfort spot.

"Alright, now let's get to Lake Acuity. The longer we leave it, the more likely it is that Team Galactic will cause even more damage," Cynthia said, as much as she didn't want to rush Kyra and Glaceon, she knew they were short on time.

Kyra knew what the stakes were and she stood up, following Cynthia and her Glaceon towards Lake Acuity. Lake Acuity was by far the Lake Kyra knew least about in Sinnoh, all she knew is that it was guarded by Uxie, the pokémon on Knowledge. She vaguely remembered reading about Lake Acuity being atop a cliff that was fairly tricky to scale, causing her to worry slightly.

"Cynthia, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Lake Acuity atop a cliff? How are we going to climb up it?" Kyra asked, she didn't expect Cynthia not to have thought this through, but paranoia was quickly beginning to set in.

Cynthia nodded, "It's true that Lake Acuity is atop a cliff, but you're forgetting we both have Glaceon. Their ice spikes are pretty sturdy; we can use them to climb the cliff face," she explained.

Right on cue, Cynthia's Glaceon froze his fur and he gave one of the quills he had formed to Kyra. Kyra was surprised by how strong the quill was, it could hold Glaceon's weight easily as if she were a feather.

"See. Speaking of which, we're here," Cynthia commented, stopping before the tall clifface up to Lake Acuity.

Kyra's Glaceon followed Cynthia's Glaceon in freezing her fur to form the ice spikes. It was a fairly simple process of just controlling her body temperature so her fur would freeze, then shooting out the spikes towards the cliff so they would stick. A couple of the spikes fell out from the wall, but the majority of the stuck and gave Kyra and Cynthia enough hand a foot holds to climb up safely.

"I'll let you and your Glaceon go first. That way, in the unlikely event the ice spikes to slip, we can control it better. It happened to us when we first came to Lake Acuity, so we know how to deal with it already," Cynthia said, part of her reasoning behind letting Kyra go first was also so they could gauge what Team Galactic were going to do.

Kyra enjoyed the climb to the top of the clifface, she had been an avid climber as a child and she hadn't lost her knack for it. It wasn't an easy climb by any means, but the challenge was what Kyra loved.

When Kyra and Glaceon got to the top, they heard an all too familiar voice, one that sent shivers down Kyra's spine. Jupiter and her Skuntank. Mars and Cyrus were one problem, but Kyra could just about deal with them. Jupiter on the other hand was much more of a threat in her opinion, the sadistic and sarcastic tones, what Jupiter had said in their last meeting, it was all stuck on Kyra's mind.

Jupiter, rather than having Grunts with her, had decided it would be better to capture Uxie by herself. It was no secret that the Commanders didn't think highly of the Grunts, and Jupiter was no exception. She would take any opportunity to work alone rather than with anyone else, especially when it was such an important mission such as this. Any distraction could prove to make the mission a failure; Jupiter wasn't going to let anything stop her this time.

"Alright Uxie, we can do this one of two ways. Either you come willingly, or you fight back and lose. For you own good, it's better you come with me," Jupiter said, more to herself than anything else.
