For once, Nate and Willow were up before Kyra and her pokémon. Willow had left a note so Kyra didn't panic when she got up and joined Nate in the lobby for breakfast, both of them spending some time theorising over Kyra's usage of aura.

"Celestic Town is essentially a free museum for the public, there are plenty of people who still uphold old traditions, maybe they'll know about aura so Kyra can learn some more herself," Willow suggested.

Nate nodded, "I was thinking much the same thing. Although Iron Island is another option since that's where Cynthia found Kyra's Lucario as a Riolu remember. Maybe there are other Lucario there too," he replied.

With Iron Island added onto the - albeit short - list of things to do before taking on Canalave City Gym, the two agreed they had more than enough to give themselves a well earned break from Gym Battles.

The two continued to talk for a bit, trying to steer away from the question they were becoming increasingly more tempted to ask Kyra: could she understand pokémon? The chances of Kyra actually understanding pokémon was so slim it was nearly impossible, but at the same time, Kyra was no ordinary trainer, that much was obvious.

Whenever Kyra made a call, her pokémon would trust her on it and act right away without hesitation, something that was only seen in trainers such as Champions who had been training with their pokémon for years. Not to mention she had conversations with her pokémon as she would another human, her pokémon giving very little signs as to what they meant. There was no doubt about it, Kyra was a strange and exceptionally strong trainer.

Lucario and Eevee woke up around a similar time, but Kyra still hadn't stirred yet. The two gently nudged their trainer to try and wake her up, but all that resulted in was Kyra rolling over and pulling the duvet over her head.

"Come on Kyra, I thought you were looking forward to getting to Celestic Town," Lucario said, nudging Kyra slightly harder this time.

"Nooooo, lemme sleeeeep," Kyra groaned.

Eevee tried pulling the duvet off of Kyra, but Kyra still had a tight hold of it and refused to let go.

"Five more minutes at least," Kyra said sleepily, hoping to persuade her pokémon to let her sleep for longer.

Lucario and Eevee agreed to give Kyra five more minutes of sleep and no longer than that, quietly chatting as their trainer slept.

The two pokémon were just as excited to go to Celestic Town as their trainer, like Kyra they hoped to learn at least something else new about aura. Out of the two times Kyra had definitely used her aura, she had fainted not long after, they needed to work out a way of stopping that from happening, especially since Team Galactic knew about it.

As the five minutes were nearing its end, Eevee readied herself to wake her trainer up with cuddles. Eevee knew that Kyra would wake to being bombarded with paws and nuzzles, hence Eevee woke up her trainer rather than Lucario.

Eevee jumped onto Kyra and got to work waking her up, eventually succeeding in her plan. Kyra came out from the duvet and gave Eevee the attention she was looking for, giving Lucario some attention too before finally getting out of bed and grabbing her clothes to change into.

Whilst tieing her scarf, Kyra relived a memory from her childhood as if she were seeing it again. It wasn't much of a memory, but it certainly of her father, that much Kyra knew to be true. All she could remember was the her father was above average height, something she had inherited too, he too was ginger, apart from that, Kyra remembered nothing about him.

The anger at her father for leaving and the desperation to know why filled Kyra and made her accidently tie her scarf too tight. She noticed long before anything happened, but she knew that she would be in a foul mood for the rest of the day now.
