Nate and Willow woke up later than usual the next morning. To their relief, they had received a message from Victoria saying everything was fine with Kyra and that they would be back soon. Lucario and Eevee were glad to hear their trainer would be coming back and they went downstairs to wait in the lobby for Kyra and Victoria.
Meanwhile, Kyra and Victoria were on their way back to Hearthome City. They had both woken up early and spent some more time on Spear Pillar before heading down to re-join Nate and Willow.
"Remember, if you ever feel like this again, please just message me and we can talk things out," Victoria said, hoping Kyra would take her advise.
Kyra nodded but didn't say anything, once again she was panicking that Nate and Willow would hate her. She was certain that this time she had gone too far this time and she wouldn't be forgiven.
Victoria on the other hand knew everything would be fine. If either Nate or Willow didn't want Kyra back, they would have said by now.
As soon as Lucario sensed Kyra's aura close by, she told Eevee to follow her and they went to meet with Kyra. Both of them jumped at Kyra to hug her, Kyra hugged them in return and was glad to see they were ok.
"I'm sorry for how I acted yesterday you two, it won't happen again. I promise," Kyra promised, assuring her partners that yesterday's foul mood was a one off.
Lucario and Eevee were just pleased to see Kyra was ok, they had both struggled to sleep last night due to worrying about her. Neither one believed that Kyra would abandon them since she wasn't the kind of person who would do such a thing, but it was still a relief to be with her again.
"I'll let you three catch up whilst I talk to Nate and Willow, that way it'll hopefully make things easier for all of you," Victoria said, leaving Kyra, Lucario, and Eevee to catch up.
Eevee reclaimed her favourite spot on Kyra's left shoulder and nuzzled her head against Kyra's cheek whilst Lucario nuzzled Kyra's right arm, Kyra stroked them both in return to thank them for their closeness.
Once the three had caught up, and Eevee had got all of her questions about Nate and Willow not understanding her, the three headed to the pokémon centre.
Kyra sat beside Victoria whilst she finished talking to Nate and Willow, staying quiet so as not to make matters worse.
"I'm sorry you were so stressed Kyra, you should have said," Willow said.
"We would have done all we could to help. Is there anything we can do now?" Nate asked, he too wishing Kyra had spoken up sooner.
Kyra, as much as she knew her friends were there for her, desperately wanted to stop Cyrus' plan from destroying the world as they knew it. She knew it wouldn't be long until she took on Cyrus, she could feel it...until she had taken him on, Nate and Willow would stay unaware of him.
"I didn't want to worry you, that's all. The best thing for all of us would be put what's happened over the past couple of days behind us. That way, we can all calm down a bit and hopefully not annoy each other any more," Kyra replied, worrying her comment had come across the wrong way.
Nate and Willow both agreed that Kyra was right, dwelling on their disagreement wouldn't help them. After yesterday, they all agreed that battling together when they weren't all that experienced in doing so was a bad idea. The theory was good, but the execution not so much. For now, they would just train for battling by themselves.
