When Kyra woke up the next morning, she finally had enough strength to sit up and did so. Her body still ached slightly, but she was much better off than yesterday.

The nurse who had been caring for Kyra came in to check her over not long after she had woken up and served her some breakfast. Kyra didn't feel all that hungry, but she ate so as not to raise concern.

"As long as you take it easy today, we should be able to discharge you tomorrow morning. The majority of the electricity has left you body now, but it's best we keep you in tonight just to make sure you won't be put at any risk," the nurse explained before leaving.

Kyra was relieved she would only be in the hospital for another night, but it did mean she'd have to keep herself occupied for a day when she didn't have anything she would normally do thanks to her bag being with Nate and Willow.

Upon checking her phone to see if anyone had messaged her, she saw a message from Nate, something she was pretty surprised by. She wouldn't have been surprised if it was just a quick message to check in on her because Nate was never one to send long messages, but considering she had to open the messages app to read it all, she knew something was wrong.

Lucario was missing and hadn't come back to being called. It was unlike Lucario to disobey being called back or to ignore even Nate and Willow, but for some reason she had. There was always the prospect of Lucario having come to keep her trainer company, but going from Pastoria City to Jubilife City was a long way that Kyra wouldn't have wanted to do alone. At least Eevee and Luxray hadn't left too, otherwise Kyra would have had no choice but to try and persuade the nurses to let her go and find her pokémon,

"Please be alright Lucario, don't do anything stupid," Kyra thought, looking out of the window in the hope of distracting herself from her missing partner.

Lucario had woken herself up early that morning, guessing that the search for her would continue now it was light again. She wasn't going to run the risk of not being with her trainer and climbed down the tree she had spent the night on not long after sunrise.

The marshy route ahead was fairly easy to navigate thanks to Lucario's access to aura. She ended up tripping over a root and got her paws a bit muddy, but it wasn't the end of the world since she cleaned the worst of it off in the pond not too far outside of Hearthome City.

Now all Lucario had to do was get through Hearthome City, Route 208, then through Mount Coronet and to Jubilife City via Oreburgh Cty. She figured it would take a couple of hours, but it would be worth it to see Kyra and make sure she was ok.

Lucario soon caught onto a change in Kyra's aura, she was worried about something. It put Lucario on edge, Kyra worrying meant that there was probably something wrong with her recovery, she was sure of it. She had no choice now, she had to get back to her trainer as soon as possible.

Nate and Willow had also woken up at a time they would consider early, little did they know that Lucario was well on her way through Route 208 by the time they got up. As planned, they let Gliscor and Gabite out so they could fly over Route 212 in order to search for Lucario...but neither one caught any sign of her.

Gliscor and Gabite debated possibly flying out further, but as Nate and Willow had said, Lucario could have been anywhere. The best thing they could do is wait. It was a risk since Lucario was still vulnerable to any wild pokémon attacking her, but then again, Lucario was a strong pokémon and could defend herself if she needed to.

Early into the afternoon, Kyra still hadn't heard anything else from Nate or Willow. It was worrying that Lucario was potentially somewhere with no one knowing exactly where she was. Kyra tried to keep her nerves at bay as best as she could. But it was difficult with no proper distraction.
