"Golem, use Fire Punch,"

Kyra was terrified as she heard the call for Fire Punch. If it hit Lucario, she didn't know if Lucario would be able to withstand it.

"Lucario, try and protect yourself using your Bone Rush," Kyra called, hoping Lucario would be quick enough.

Golem was pretty slow, but not slow enough for Lucario to get off a Bone Rush hit. Lucario had managed to control how she was hit so she wasn't flung backwards, but Fire Punch had still done a lot of damage.

As Lucario flipped back, Kyra had an idea. If Lucario could get off an Aura Sphere from where she was, chances were that Golem would go down.

"Lucario, use Aura Sphere!" Kyra called, hoping her idea would work.

Lucario nodded and used Aura Sphere, sending her attack towards Golem before landing on one of the Stone Edges still active.

Bertha knew the Aura Sphere would take Golem out, there was only one thing she could do to stop Lucario from having the advantage. "Use Earthquake."

Golem planted her arm into the field just before Aura Sphere hit her, the powerful attack breaking the Stone Edges before Lucario had chance to act.

Kyra knew that the only save bet now was to get Lucario off of the field and Glaceon in her place before Lucario was hit with Earthquake. The only quick enough way of doing that was returning Lucario to her pokéball temporarily, even if Lucario ended up disliking her for it.

"Lucario, return. Glaceon, let's go!"

Kyra only just managed to get the switch off in time. Glaceon jumped off of her trainer's and landed just after the Earthquake had finished. Kyra's plan had worked and a wave of relief rushed over her.

Lucario was writhing in her pokéball, trying to break out as soon as possible. Kyra let her out and was met with Lucario's aggression right away.

"Don't put me in that thing again! I hate it! I don't care if it's for my own good, I'd rather be hurt than be trapped!" Lucario snapped, not having taken kindly to being in her pokéball for the few seconds she had been.

Kyra went to stroke Lucario's favourite spot in an attempt to calm her down, but Lucario was having none of it. Rather than letting Kyra's stroke her in-between her ears, she instead pushed Kyra's hand away with her paw spikes, continuing to show her aggression towards her trainer.

"Fine, sulk if you must. I'm taking you out of the battle, go and find somewhere to sit and calm down," Kyra replied, she wasn't going to put up with Lucario's sulking since it would only result in distracting her from the battle.

Lucario formed a Metal Claw out of anger, she didn't want to stop battling when she still had the ability to battle.

"Attack me if you really want to Lucario, but just remember that you'll be in your pokéball even more if you do. If you can't calm down, you're not battling in the rest of the League, this battle will be the least of your worries," Kyra said, knowing what Lucario was doing without even having to see it happen.

Lucario muttered something under her breath and went to sit in the corner to continue sulking. She didn't know what she was more annoyed about, the fact she had been in her pokéball or the fact she had been forced out of the battle.

"Sorry about that, shall we continue?" Kyra asked, apologising for how Lucario had acted.

Bertha nodded, "There's no need to apologise. I admire the trust you have in your pokémon, I know if any of my pokémon formed an attack and targeted me I'd be scared stiff. You took it so well," she replied, now having returned Golem to her pokéball.
