I awaken in the King's chambers having finally had my first dreamless slumber since my recent return to Asgard and I was glad of that fact. I felt rested.
The sudden release of magic the previous evening had rid me of my nightmares for at least one night and I could only hope and pray that they would not return.
I look over to where the King should be only to find myself entirely alone yet again, but he soon returns with breakfast and joins me back in bed.
Me: "I do not enjoy waking up without you".
Loki: "You were so peaceful. I did not wish to wake you yet".
Me: "I suppose you will be quite busy for the next week helping to plan the celebration?"
Loki: "Not at all. I have hired someone to make all of the necessary arrangements".
Me: "So I have you all to myself?"
Loki: "You most certainly do. I also wish to help you devise a plan of action for what to do upon speaking with King Naris".
Me: "You will help me?"
Loki: "Well I am the God of Mischief, therefore lies are my specialty. It would seem that I am the most qualified person to teach you".
Me: "You have taught me so much already, my King" I say as I place a kiss upon his lips.
Loki: "Would you be so desperate for answers you seek that you would be willing to use that?"
Me: "Use it how?"
Loki: "To seduce King Naris, of course. I need to know you are serious in your quest for the truth".
Me: "Then I will do whatever it takes, but what leads you to believe that seduction may be necessary?"
Loki: "I saw the look in his eyes when he spoke to you at the ball and I am no fool. He needs to believe that you are naive enough to fall for his charms and possibly betray our courtship".
Me: "Surely there must be another way?"
Loki: "You claimed that you would do whatever is necessary? You must seduce him to the point that he becomes drunk with obsession. Only then will he tell you everything you wish to know purely in the hopes of bedding you".
Me: "And how do you propose I do that?"
Loki: "You have already caught his eye with your beauty, now all you need to do is tempt him. Lure him to you with something seductive, provocative and so alluring that he cannot resist".
Me: "You suggest that I should attend naked?" I laugh.
Loki: "No. I already have the perfect dress in mind, but know this, my love, only I get to tear it from your body at the end of the evening".
Me: "Then we had better start practicing those seduction methods at this very moment" I smile as he kisses my neck.
