Chapter 13: Next Quest

"Hiroto, I brought you lunch"

Kaede said as she entered the backyard of his parent's house. Carrying small picnic basket filled with sandwiches and a bottle of iced tea, causing her to see Hiroto who was doing a push up with his body erected upwards. Making Kaede dazedly stare at his now toned and muscular body, causing her to unconsciously blush as she placed the basket on the table in the backyard.

"Thanks, I was getting a bit hungry..."

Hiroto said as he landed his feet on the ground and stood up straight. Combing his slightly long blue hair backwards, causing Kaede's eyes to unconsciously glance at his well-defined abdominal and chest muscle. His arms were a lot larger than before when he was still skinny. Making Kaede shyly look away from him as he grabbed his white shirt hanged on the fence. Wearing it on his body, but didn't help much as his muscles were visible through the white cloth.

The notification read as he grabbed the towel on the table and proceeded to wipe his neck and face.

"Did you grow taller, Hiroto?"

She asked as she looked up at his face. Only reaching his chest as he was now 2 heads taller than her. Making her feel a lot smaller than she actually was.

"I think so, I'm even taller than dad now"

He said as he hanged the towel on the empty chair beside his own. Sitting down on his chair as Kaede stared at him in a daze.

"Have you gotten used to living here?"

He asked as he grabbed a sandwich from the basket. Making her nod her head in response.

"Mn... Mom has been teaching me to cook for the past few days"

She said with a cute smile on his face. Making Hiroto smile at her as he took a bite of the sandwich in his hand.

"... Are you ready to move out tomorrow? The mansion is already constructed. You can just go there yourself for the time being. I'll follow you after I get home from school"

He said, causing Kaede to show a reluctant expression on her face as she was used to living here with his parents. Making her reluctant to leave them, causing her to look at Hiroto with a pitiful expression on her face.

"... My parents didn't agree to come and live with us so... I really can't do anything about that, we can go visit them every weekends. It's not like were permanently leaving. We'll just move to our new home, that's all"

He comforted as he held her hand that was on the table. Making Kaede weakly nod her head befoe looking up at his direction.

"Are you really going to school?"

"I don't really have a choice, my homeroom teacher has been bugging me to go back to school, and I need to at least graduate to have a good background. I missed a lot of lessons in the past month, so I had to make up for it by staying up late during the night"

He said with an annoyed expression on his face, since because of his studies. He wasn't able to sleep with Kaede anymore even when she often visits his room during the night. Making him feel regretful for neglecting his studies in the past since it affected his time with her.

"I'm sorry I couldn't help..."

"It can't be helped. We're indifferent grades, you're 2 years younger than me after all"

Hiroto said as he poured ice tea on the glass cup, and chugged it down. Making him show a satisfied expression on his face as he felt the coldness of the drink spread through his stomach.
