Chapter 136: Metamorphosis (End)

"Papa!"

A cute 7-year-old child shouted with a sweet smile on her face as she greeted her father back home. Jumping directly into his arms, causing the man to smile before crouching down and spreading his arm and hugging her daughter in his embrace.

"Papa, look at this!"

She excitedly said before showing him her report card, causing the blue-haired man, Hiroto, to look at her card and saw her high grades. Making him pat the little girl on the head with a proud smile on his face.

"My daughter is such a smart girl"

He said with a wide smile on his face. Even though he didn't care about what grade his daughter get, it still felt great that his daughter achieved this much even without a proper tutor. Making him feel both blessed and proud for having her in his life.

"Welcome home, dear"

A feminine voice said, causing him to turn his head to look at a black-haired beauty standing in front of the door with a gentle smile on her face. Feeling happy from seeing her daughter and husband like this. Making Hiroto walk towards her and give her a peck on the lips.

"I'm home, Saki"

He said, causing the woman to smile brightly in response. Watching as he placed their daughter back on the floor before hugging his wife like they haven't met for a couple of days. Making the woman, Saki Yoshida, let out a giggle before their daughter grabbed both of their hands and pulled them inside the mansion.

"Papa, let's play!!"

"Now, now, Aki, your father just returned from work. How about I play with you instead?"

She said but was stopped by Hiroto who placed his hand on top of her shoulder. Smiling at her like he was telling her it was fine.

"I'll just change my clothes and let's play together, Aki"

He said, causing the little girl to joyfully nod her head in response. Letting go of both of them before she ran up to her room to prepare all of her toys to spend some time with her father. Making Yoshida worriedly look in his direction.

"You've been working overtime in the last few days and you haven't got enough sleep. Don't push your body too hard"

"It's fine. I still have some energy to at least spend some time with my wife and daughter, right?"

He said, causing Yoshida to sigh. Not noticing the extremely complicated expression on his face while staring into thin air. Looking at the translucent screen that suddenly appeared in front of him, causing him to close his eyes before taking a deep breath since he already predicted that this time would come.

For 15 years, he tried every thing he could to give Yoshida the life that she wanted, and created a warm family that even he felt reluctant to part with. He felt reluctant to separate from her and his very first child but, only here can they be safe and he doesn't have enough [Character Ticket] to bring them both back to his dimension. So, he had no choice but to leave them here. 

"Saki... I want to ask but... did I made you happy in this life?"

"Why are you suddenly asking this?"

Yoshida asked in confusion while tilting her head. Wondering why he was suddenly asking this kind of questions out of nowhere. Making both of them stop at the entrance of their bedroom before she grabbed both of his cheeks and looked at him straight in the eye. 

"Did I ever looked unhappy being with you, Hiroto?"

She asked, causing Hiroto to shake his head to the side since even once, after they got together, she never showed a trace of sadness and often smiled which led to the warm family that they have today. He just wanted to assure himself that he really did made both his wife and daughter happy before he leaves this dimension and never see him again. Making him frown as an uncomfortable feeling spread in his chest.
