Chapter 52: Learning about Hiroto's past

"This is a lot worst that I imagined it to be..."

Saya said as the 4 girls all sat around the room. Looking at the diary placed in the middle with varying expressions on their faces. Especially Kaede and Shizuka who both had a pained expression on their faces.

"... I didn't know... Hiroto experienced something like this... H-How could they do something like that?"

Kaede muttered while staring at the direction of the notebook, causing Saya, who had her arms crossed on her chest, to suddenly show an irritated expression on her face as she remembered Aiko's appearance.

Even though they shouldn't just jump to conclusions that everything written in the diary was true, they had to believe it based on Hiroto's and Aiko's personality. Saya said as she pressed her index and thumb on the bridge of her nose. Making Kaede look at them in confusion.

"I don't think Hiroto would do something as risky as that-"

"A man with a broken mind will not think logically when dealing with situations involving his trauma. They tend to think with their emotions rather than reason out what's the best possible decision to do. I don't think Hiroto would respond calmly once those people provoked him again"

Saya said as she cut her off, before glancing at Saeko's direction since she is the only one who knows and witnessed Hiroto's true psychological state since she was there when he snapped.

Why do you think teenagers tend to sacrifice everything for their significant other when they fall in love for the first time? It's because love gives the person experiencing it extreme joy and happiness. This is also the reason why many people in their adolescent are prone to addiction to video games. It's because all of those gives them a strong sense of satisfaction, enjoyment, and happiness. Unlike adults where this kind of addictions rarely happens"

Saya explained before tapping her finger on the diary placed on the table.

"And because of what he experienced while still in our dimension. Hiroto became someone who tends to act on instincts when dealing with something that his mind registers as a threat... but it's not like he lost his ability to reason since his next courses of actions were pretty clever"
