Chapter 14: Telling her about the System

"What are you watching?"

Hiroto asked as he was wiping his hair with a towel. Walking towards Kaede who was watching something in her phone while casually laying down on his bed.

"I was checking if what you said a few days ago was true... and it looks like I really am a fictional character in this world"

She said as she showed him the screen of her phone. Making him see that she was watching her own show, causing Hiroto to look at her with a strange expression on his face.

"So you already knew everything before you even came and get me from my dimension"

She said. Making Hiroto awkwardly scratch his head before looking at her in worry. Afraid that she would get angry as he lied to her once they first met.

"... I'm sorry, I lied..."

He suddenly apologized as he crouched down towards her. Making her look at him with a light smile on her face.

"I don't mind... but I am angry that you tricked me when we first met. You could've just told me that you knew me"

"... I would've looked like a creep if I did that"

Hiroto said as he took out a T-shirt from his closet and wore it on his body.

"... Do you regret coming with me?"

He asked with a hint of anxiety and hesitation in his voice, causing Kaede to giggle before she stood up and hugged him from his back.

"... Do I look like I regret coming here?"

"... No..."

Hiroto said, remembering how happy and comfortable she was while in this world. Making Kaede show a bright smile on her face.

"Even if I go back... it would become pretty lonely for me.... s-since you're not there anymore..."

She said, causing Hiroto to turn his body around. Making her let go and hug him from the front. Burying her face on his chest with a shy expression on her face due to what she said to him.

"... D-Don't stare at me like that"

Kaede said as she noticed him dazedly staring at her direction. Making Hiroto's face to unconsciously form a smile before he lifted her up in his arm, and hugged her body. Catching her by surprise for his sudden actions.

"H-Hiroto?"

She called with flushed cheeks before she saw the joyful smile on his face. Leaning his own face on her neck before he sat down on the bed. Letting her sit on his lap before he wrapped his arm around her waist.

"Let me stay like this for a while..."

He said, causing her to fidget her feet that was stepping on the bed. Feeling his hot breath brush against her her neck while the light scent of sandalwood enter her nose. Making her body feel like it was heating up.

"H-Hiroto... I-It tickles..."

She whispered as she placed her hand on his shoulders. Making him snuggle on her neck.

"Kaede... I'm really happy right now..."

He said. Making Kaede pause her actions before a warm feeling spread on her chest.

"... I really didn't get to tell you how I felt in the past, right?... I was still a bit awkward around you back then, so I didn't have the courage to tell you"

He said before his hands wrapped tighter around her. All while Kaede remained silent, anticipating what his going to say next.

"I-I... *cough*... I... love you... Kaede..."
