Chapter 159: Undead Base

"Low-leveled ghouls" 

Lucifer said in disappointment while looking at the ghouls kneeling in front of her. Making her sigh before looking around the now-transformed floor that Hiroto assigned to her. Shrouded in a deathly aura with green mist coming out of each of the medieval-designed structures littering the once swampy terrain of the 12th floor. 

The ground became black due to the corruption brought by the buildings. Turning the once fertile soil into the hard and dead ground makes it impossible for any form of life to grow. Slowly spreading across the nearby ground, causing the soil on it to rot. In the center of this undead city was a floating pyramid-shaped structure with a large skull as its entrance. The edges of the building were decorated with large sharp bones. On top of it is a crystal with its middle glowing an ominous color of green.

"... At least you guys can heal by eating flesh"

She said while looking at the pale-skinned goal with white or black hair surrounding their head. The flesh on their body seems to be torn and the ribcage and bones in their legs were visible. These creatures had no nose and no eyelids which made their eyes dry out and seem more terrifying than before. Their mouth had no lips or skin on top of it. Revealing their sharp and rotting teeth to her. Making Lucifer impatiently tap her feet on the soil. Deciding whether or not she should turn them into skeletons using her magic, but if she did that, they would lose their regenerative ability. Instead, they'll gain a tougher body and greater strength that could shatter a boulder into pieces using minimal effort. 

[I can strengthen them using my powers so let's keep their appearance for now]

A silver-haired girl wrote down on her notepad as she walked beside her, causing the undead in front of them to shiver in fear from her aura alone. Making Lucifer look at them in surprise as she didn't expect that they'll be able to sense the girl's power, causing her to turn her head to look at the girl, Eucliwood Hellscythe, with an astonished expression on her face.

"I thought Hiroto said you aren't that good in these kinds of things?"

[I'm willing to get used to it as long as I can help him. This would eventually happen in the future and it would be my responsibility to control them. It is a duty that I must fulfill for following Hiroto here and becoming one of her lovers]
