Chapter 44: The new couple in town

A few weeks after the incident, Aubrey spent her entire free time, trying to find a cure but even then she had to do other things.

"Tony, I don't wanna talk to you!" She shouted as she walked away from him.

"Aubrey, please! Let me apologize"

"What part of 'I don't wanna talk to you' don't you get?!"

"Look, I know I've said some hurtful things to you that night but I wanna make amends! Look, your cousins are ready to forgive me, why aren't you?"

"Because I-"

"Is it because of your father? Let me talk to him-"

"Tony, I have to go... tutoring session." She ran away from him and into a classroom and saw two teens, a boy and a girl.

"Come on, give it back!"

"No way, Phillip!"

"Lena!"

"Phillip!"

"Um... Excuse me?" Aubrey spoke softly as the two teens stared at her.

"Um... I'm going to be your t-tutor"

"Oh?"

"M-Mmm Hmm"

Phillip and Lena looked at her up and down.

Lena had pale skin, her eyes were black and she was wearing pink eye shadow, she also had piercings over her eyebrows and on her ears, her short white hair with pink tips made her stand out more to Aubrey.

Phillip on the other hand, was tan skin, with chocolate brown eyes, he had a band aid over his nose, and his hair was black with green stripes that matched his baseball cap.

"What's your name shortness?"

"A-Aubrey, Aubrey-Rose" She covered her face with her hair.

"Aww, it's cute"

"O-Oh, thank you! Um... Maybe you can tell me what you need help with?" She sat down at their table and pulled out notes and books.

"I need help with Geometry"

"Okay" Aubrey turned away from Lena and looked at Phillip,"And... You?"

Phillip was just memorized by how cute she is and bluntly ignored her question.

"Excuse me?"

"I asked what you were struggling with" She started to get uncomfortable with his staring.

"Oh um.. World History"

"Okay! Well, I might have to do separate study sessions between the two of you but if you both are free after school, we can meet up at a coffee shop"

"That sounds nice!"

"I'm down!"

"Perfect! But now I wanna ask the two of you something"

"What is it?"

"Are you going to try?"

"Try what?"

"Try to pass"

Lena and Phillip looked at each other, Lena doesn't have anything to lose but Phillip does.

"We'll try," They both said in usion.

"That's good"

"Where's Aubrey? She's usually on time for lunch" Leah asked.

"More like, where's the chump? He's usually here too"

"Can we just wait at the table? I'm hungry!!" Sera whined and pulled on Ray's arm.
