Chapter 29: Let the night begin

"Oh great!"

Leah snarled and pulled out her tanto, "Stay behind me."

Leah started fighting the guards but if Ray was anything like her father.... Her temper got the better of her. Meaning, she also started fighting the guards but with more rage.

Ray used her claws to climb up the wall and pulled out her sai's, she jumped onto the guards digging her sai's into their chest then smoke appeared.

The body of the guards disappeared and rubies fell onto the ground.

"What the?!" She shouted.

"It's a trap!!"

Sera and Aubrey looked at each other then attacked the guards, making them disappear as well.

"What the?"

"This is strange, they aren't human" Aubrey said, she examined their gems.

"Woah.. so more things that look like us! Right?"

"I don't believe so, we can't disappear as they do" Aubrey explained.

"We can call it poofing!!" Sera shouted. The girls looked at her with a face of annoyance.

"What? We can!"

"Not now, Sera"

"We don't have time for this" Leah said, she looked around "Let's find the humans and get out of here!"

Aubrey looked up and saw power lines, "Hmm, interesting"

"What is it nerdette?"

"Those are power lines," Aubrey said.

"Ooh, power lines! Thanks for the new words Aubrey." Ray crossed her arms, she was tired of the little nerd excited explosions.

"Raydiant, these power lines are leading in that direction which means whatever is that way is extremely important!" Aubrey smiled innocently and walked in the direction of the power lines.

Leah looked at Ray and smirked mockingly.

"Don't do it princess."

Tony was banging on the door with his father sitting on a chair, behind him.

"Let us out of here! Right now!!" Tony shouted.

"Tony, please.. we aren't gonna get outta here"

"Father, we can't just stay here! Please, we spent too much time running, I don't wanna give up now!"

"And how exactly are we gonna get outta this one? Enlighten me, my son!"

Tony smirked, "This girl in my class, I saw her hack into the school's WiFi so how hard can it be?"

"Hacking the school's WiFi, hmm? Are you sure about this?"

Tony nodded then they heard a loud bang outside their door.

Aubrey poked her head in the window, "T-Tony?"

"Is this the girl you're talking about?"

"Yes father, I-I guess! Aubrey, you look... Whoa, you're a kitten?" Tony looked at her up and down.

"U-Um, Fox and Turtle hybrid, actually" Aubrey blushed and smiled nervously.

"Wow.. for the first time, I finally notice the difference between pretty and beautiful"

Aubrey blushed harder, "Um... I-I-I" Leah bumped into her, stopping her from speaking.

"Sure, totally not your boyfriend~" Sera teased.
