Chapter 39: The invasion begins

The next day, Aubrey was working on her laptop in the lab when she started having a migraine.

Aubrey groaned and rubbed her head, she leaned back in the chair and gasped. She started having flashes of the gems working on something and flashes of a mysterious woman laughing evilly.

"Aubrey? Ray said I could find you in here" Tony walked into the lab when he saw Aubrey screaming in her chair.

"Aubrey?!" He shouted and ran over to her.

Aubrey's eyes were glowing black then turned back to normal, she stopped screaming.

"Aubrey, are you okay?"

"The gems... they have something planned"

"What? What is it?"

"I don't know, I need the others"

"Alright, come on," he said, helping her up. "You sure you're okay?"

"I'm fine, let's get the others"

"Okay" he said and walked away.

Aubrey was talking about her flashes to the others and in front of the turtles. Donnie stayed quiet as she talked then sighed a little too loudly.

"P-Papa...?"

".. we need to talk.. I know why you got those flashes.."

"I love to hear this heart to heart talk but we have to stop the gems!" Leah said, breaking up the moment, everyone noticed she had the water lily in her hair.

"What's that?"

"A water lily, that's not important"

"So, how are we gonna stop them?"

"I have a plan" She smiled at her father's iconic smile.

"Well, are you gonna enlighten us, Princess?"

"First step, gear up, second step, we sneak into their hideout, we know where it is, last step we use Aubrey's latest weapon to destroy whatever they're creating"

"Then we come back here, get pizza, invite Mussy over and party!!" Sera shouted and grinned.

"Yes Sera, then we get pizza, invite Remus, and party" Leah smiled and ruffled her hair.

"Yay!!"

A montage went by as Aubrey was fixing her latest weapon, Ray was gearing up, putting multiple weapons all over her body, Leah was drawing the mission plan on a chalkboard, and Sera was eating pizza while working out.

"Leah? Are you ready?"

"Yeah dad, this gonna work" She smiled as she turned towards her father.

"Then, there's something I should say before you go"

"What is it?" Leah looked up at him.

"Whenever you do missions like these.. the only important thing is that you complete your mission.. no matter what you have to sacrifice.. or who"

Leah looked down, thinking about what he said then looked up and nodded.

"Now go"

Leah and her team ran out of the lair, leaving Tony by himself with the turtles.

"Um... Leonardo, can I ask you something?"

"Yes, what is it?"

"Why aren't you guys going with them?"

"Why do you ask?"

"It's just... the girls are out there risking their lives! Don't you think they could use your help?"
