Chapter 66: The day from Hell

A couple of days have passed and it was finally the day of April's wedding, everyone continued setting up but it never felt right without Leah.

"You look pretty aunty!"

"Aww, thank you kiddo!" April smiled as she looked in the mirror, she was staring at her mermaid tail strapless wedding dress.

"You look good April, wait until your new husband sees" Karai teased.

"Oh hush!" She giggled but then stared at her phone, "I wish Leah was here to see this.."

"I know.. I know" she inhaled deeply and sighed. "I did a little something.. you know how there's some dead family members that you wanted to be at your wedding and they put pictures in empty seats, reserving them just for them?"

"I... I would love that" April started tearing up but Karai stopped her from crying.

"Hey, hey, you can cry after your wedding, okay?"

"O-Okay" April gently wiped her tears as Haley stormed in.

"Okay! It's startin' soon, come on!!" Haley shouted, wearing a long red dress.

"We're coming hothead! Are you ready?"

"Yeah! Let's do this!" April smiled and placed the veil over her head.

"Come on"

The guys were in their seats, waiting for April to walk down as they started staring at the groom.

"Hmm"

"He's kinda skinny," Raph said, causing Mikey to slap his arm.

"Well, at least he's not like you!"

"Oh shut up!"

"Make me, hothead!"

"Boys!!" Haley whispered and shouted at them.

"Yes Haley?"

"Mind shutting up?! She's about to walk"

"Okay!"

Everyone turned around in their seats and smiled as they saw April walking down with her father.

"Aww"

"Well, look at her" The team smiled at their friend, she waved at them subtly as she made it to the front.

"Wow"

An hour went by and April and her new husband, Ryan were eating cake at the sweetheart table while everyone else was either dancing or eating.

"Hey honey?"

"Hmm?"

"You wanna dance? I haven't seen you dance in a while hotshot"

"I don't know, babe! I'm a little rusty"

"Please baby"

Haley sighed then smiled as she nodded her head, she stood up and held his hand as Raph started dancing with her. His brothers stood behind and watched as both Raph and Karai danced with their lovers.

"Lucky.."

"You know what father always said, "When you lose a loved one, don't forget that someday you will see them again... In a different place.." Didn't think it would be this hard..."

"Dad always knew what to say... How are you holding up, Leo?"

"I'm doing better... I just keep expecting to see her everytime I walk into the kitchen" Leo chuckled sadly, "Leah was just a little girl... She shouldn't have had to go through this"
