Chapter 82: A visit to the past

A couple of days later

"Karai, since when do you invite all of us over for dinner?"

"I wanna talk with y'all"

"Is it about something that will induce trauma?"

"Um... kinda"

"The f**k did you do Snakey?!"

"Nothing! It's just... Do you remember when we were younger we went to that mutant club and there was a mutant singing on stage?"

"Yeah, why?"

"That was Solaris, the owner of the club kidnapped him and made him perform for everyone... The anniversary of his rescue is coming up and..."

"And..?"

"I wanna ask you all if I should celebrate with him? I mean it was the day his new life started"

"Um.. that's very questionable"

"In short, maybe?"

"Ugh!"

"Snakey, we don't know, it seems like a nice idea but that may bring more trauma than celebration"

"Maybe you're right but I don't want him to go through those memories again"

"Hmm.. maybe have a small dinner, we'll come, someone can bring a cake and just have a nice family dinner"

"That sounds like a good idea"

As the adults continued talking Aubrey was mixing potions in the foot clan lab, she was slowly falling asleep.

"Has anyone seen Aubrey?"

"She's in Stockman's old lab, downstairs to your left"

"Thanks sis, um.. could any of you talk to mom? I saw her crying last night and her eyes were red this morning"

"Mother?" Karai looked at Donnie in confusion.

"Uh.. yeah, we'll talk to her Mus"

"Okay, thanks" Remus walked over to Leah, Ray, and Sera, "She's in the lab"

"I told you so!"

"Let's just go get her!"

"Alright, alright"

The four teenagers walked into the lab only to see a half asleep Aubrey mixing the wrong chemicals together.

"Crap, Aubrey!"

"Huh?!" Aubrey suddenly woke up as she dropped the chemicals, mixing them as a giant portal appeared.

"What the?!"

"Oh no!" The teenagers got sucked into the portal, screaming as they spun around inside it. "Dah!!"

The four teenagers landed on a building rooftop, on top of each other.

"Ugh, are you all okay?"

"Besides Ray's claw digging into my back, doing good!"

"Oh calm down extra!"

Aubrey wiggled out from underneath them, she looked around it was New York but not their New York. "Why does everything look so different?"

"Yeah!! Looks super weird!"

"This is New York approximately 15 years ago based on the sun and the buildings"

"15 years ago?"

"Yes, the chemicals must have sent us back in time"

"But why here? Why now?"

"Who knows? Best bet is we-!"

Leah shushed her as she looked over the edge, her eyes widened as she saw a woman with blue hair walking on the sidewalk.
