Chapter 75: Time for a quest

A couple of weeks passed, Leah stood over two gravestones.... one was for her late grandfather, Hamato Yoshi and the other was for her Mother, Novo Couture.

"Lele, what are you doing?"

Leah gasped as she turned around and saw Remus, "Nothing just... Showing my respects"

"Oh, to your mom?"

"Yeah, come here" Remus walked over to Leah, the two of them stared at the gravestones.

"Your mom and.. grandfather, right?"

"Remus, I know it's a struggle but he's your dad"

".. dad means a male parental figure that was around, you have that and I have a sperm donor"

"So, would that make my mother a surrogate?" Leah stared at him, waiting for an answer.

"Lele, I meant to say that's how I saw it, that should not correlate with how you see her"

"Oh, you're right! How could I not know what it's like to have an absent parent? How could I not grow up asking my dad what happened to mama? Just like my mother, your father made his choices, when he fell in love with your mother... I guarantee he would've loved you too"

".. I guess you're right"

"Always am, Mus-!" Leah gasped and she moved Remus out of the way as a deer came running towards them.

"Ack! What is it?"

"A buck, deer, doe? Whatever!"

"Oh geez"

The buck then jumped on top of Leah and started beating her with his hooves.

"Hey, get off her!" Remus shouted and tried to get the buck away from her when it kicked its hind legs out at him and into a tree.

"Remus!"

"I'm fine!"

The buck then ran away the minute it saw Leah in her komodo dragon form.

"Lele?"

"Musss!" Leah turned back to normal, limping as she waddled over to him, "You okay?"

"Yeah, are you?"

"I'm fi... Ow!!" Leah held onto her leg, Remus shook his head then picked her up.

Back at the farmhouse

"Alright idiots, if you clobber gems you can break logs!" Ray shouted, as she, Sera, Aubrey, and Light held cut tree logs.

"Just hold it still Ray"

"Remember, it is not just the strength you have to break the log, it is also inner strength"

"Alright, then like this!"

Nymph kicked the log in half, pushing Ray backwards.

"Damn!"

"Nice one Nymph!"

"Ooh!! I'm getting better!" Nymph clapped her hands excitedly.

"Probably because you have a good teacher!"

"Yeah, Remus must have given you a great lesson," Lena grinned evilly.

"What's with the grin, Lena?"

"No reason-!" Lena got cut off as Haley smacked her in the back of the head. "Ow, hey!"

"Be nice... Leah!" Haley saw Leah being carried by Remus out of the woods.

"Lele, what happened to you?"
