Chapter 81: A normal, chaotic day in High School

The next day, the teenagers were at school

Remus sat across from Leah, he could tell that she barely got any sleep.

"Do you need coffee? Or do you wanna talk about it?"

"I just want to go home..."

"How come you didn't stay home? Nobody would've been upset with you if you did"

"If I stayed, dad would try and open up... I don't want to listen to him..."

"Oh"

Leah and Remus walked outside, only to spot Ryland and Sera talking to each other.

"Aww"

"Mussy!! Lele! Look who decided to visit!"

"We see! Hey Ryland"

"Hey guys, my dad's wanted to come visit!"

"Ooh, that must be nice!"

"Yeah, what is this place anyways?" Ryland asked, looking at the school.

"It's our school!"

"School? What's that?"

"A place full of learning and drama"

"Ooh! Sounds fun!"

"Fun.. is a word to describe it"

"I wanna join it-!"

"Are you sure about that?"

"... Yes?" Ryland squinted his eyes as he spotted Tony, covering himself with an umbrella, walking with Aubrey, Nymph, Lena, Phillip, Angie, Hayden and Light.

"I thought I was the only one struggling with the algebra homework"

"Oh hush, Vampire! At least I won't be crispy when I walk in the sun"

"Boys! Relax!"

"Hey you guys" Leah smiled, as they spotted the noticeable dark circles under her eyes.

"Geez, you didn't sleep?"

"It was a long night and I had to get out of the lair early before Dad tried to give me a heart to heart"

"Ooh"

"Hey, how about we go to Ray's job? She's got a free period and so do we before Health!"

"Fine with me"

"Her job?" Ryland looked at them, concerned.

"Um.. just come with us"

"Okay!"

At the cafe

"Hey dorks"

Ray was dressed as a 50's waiter, holding a notepad as the team sat down at a booth, trying to contain their laughter.

"What do you all want?"

"I would like a picture of this, to remember it by!" Leah smiled as she took a picture of Ray, "Is this why you never let your parents have lunch here?!"

"One, shut up! Two, what do you all want?"

"I would like a black coffee, please" Aubrey smiled innocently.

"Could you make that two?"

"Sure, two black coffees" Ray wrote it down, "What else?"

"Chocolate chip muffin"

"A chocolate chip muffin, what else?"

"Cinnamon roll"

"But you got one right here" Ray joked as she gestured to Aubrey.
