some normalcy returned in the avengers tower, as y/n had been back for about a week and a half now.

loki's concern for y/n's health was growing though, y/n spent most of his time training and exercising, and the bags under his eyes continued to grow.

as of right now, y/n was most likely down in the gym a few floors below working out and training in combat and sword fighting, as usual. loki missed his company, but would never admit it.

y/n had been practicing his form and technique with his sword, as well as incorporating his magic into it as well, throwing his sword and the teleporting it back into his hands afterwards. he figured that he could summon small knives as well with his magic, and had been practicing his aim with throwing knives.

steve had been kind enough to train with him, but ended up leaving after he lost more times than his pride could sustain.

thor watched as y/n trained alone. he sighed and folded his arms, leaning against the wall. he truly had no idea how to help y/n. he could see the exhaustion in y/n's eyes, knowing that he hadn't truly rested since he got back.

he was always training and always on edge, afraid that he was going to be attacked and taken again. thor pushed off the wall and stepped back into the elevator, telling jarvis to go to the floor loki was on.

loki rolled his eyes when he heard thor calling his name from outside his bedroom. he huffed and sat up, bookmarking his book and setting it down. he opened his door but didn't leave his room and yelled back to thor.

"what do you want, thor?" he asked, and thor popped out from around the corner.

"brother! you must tell me, what activities did you and y/n enjoy together?" thor asked, and loki turned around, walking back into his room but not shutting the door.

"and why would i ever tell you about such things? and you're not my brother," loki huffed, opening his book in an attempt to ignore thor.

the couch dipped as thor sat down, and loki had to readjust his weight to make sure he didn't lose balance and fall over. he glared at thor.

"you are my brother, we grew up together. it does not matter if we don't share the same parents. anyways, i was hoping that if we did such things with y/n again, it may jog his memory," thor said, tapping his heels on the ground anxiously.

loki looked up from his book to thor and his lips parted.

"well, he did quite enjoy sushi. i don't mind it either," loki said, closing his book again.

"ah! jane has told me about sushi, though i have yet to try it," thor said excitedly, "then we shall get sushi! jarvis, tell mr. stark that loki and i will be leaving!"

"right away, point break," jarvis said, and thor stopped what he was doing as he heard the nickname.

"jarvis, did mr. stark tell you to call me that?" thor asked.

"i'm afraid so," jarvis replied, and thor shook his head with a sigh. loki smirked at his frustration.

they changed into midgardian attire to fit in more and not attract too much attention, although it was inevitable.

thor was wearing a grey denim jacket over a black hoodie with blue jeans, and loki scoffed at his choice of style.

"you look like a peasant," he said, shoving his hands into his pockets.
