song: no more tears - ozzy osbourne

3rd pov

y/n and loki sat across from each other in the sushi restaurant they now frequented.

they fed each other sushi and stared lovingly into each other's eyes.

"chuck norris doesn't do push ups, he pushes the earth down," loki said, smirking at y/n.

"did you just make a chuck norris joke?" y/n asked.

"i asked the siri for a chuck norris joke before we left," loki admitted.

y/n smiled and huffed out a laugh in response to loki saying 'the siri'.

"well, i enjoyed it," y/n said, and loki smiled proudly.

y/n picked up a roll of sushi and held it up for loki to eat. loki leaned closer and took it between his teeth.

he hummed in delight as he chewed, nodding his head.

"i don't think i'll ever get sick of sushi, and it always tastes better when you feed it to me," loki declared.

y/n smiled and held up another sushi roll to loki. "is that so?"

"very," loki said, eating the roll.

loki looked down and saw that the plate holding the sushi was now empty. loki's eye's shot up to y/n who was smirking evilly at him.

"you!" loki said, stabbing his finger towards y/n.

"me.. what?" y/n asked, still smiling.

"you gave me the last roll while i was distracted. you were supposed to eat it," loki said, glaring gently at y/n.

"oops!" y/n said, placing $50 on the table and standing up.

loki stood up as well, and the two of them linked arms as they walked out of the restaurant.

they enjoyed the lively bustle of the new york population as they strolled down the walkway. they ignored the stares they got and the pictures being taken of them.

neither of them cared about what the media might think of their relationship. they were going to live for thousands of years, and the humans were going to live only 100 at most. so who cares?

"is that you, y/n?"

y/n's gentle smile disappeared from his face. he stopped in his tracks, but didn't turn to face the owner of the voice.

loki immediately sensed the drop in y/n's mood and turned around to look at the person who had called out for him.

there stood a man who looked maybe a few years older than y/n. he had dirty blonde hair and an unkept beard. he wore a stained white tank top and ripped light wash jeans.

in his hand was a brown paper bag, most likely concealing some sort of alcoholic drink.

he was the epitome of a low life, he embodied the word trashy.

y/n finally turned around and met his eyes, and the man smirked.

"well looky here. it's been awhile, hasn't it?" he said, sauntering towards y/n and loki.

"i have no desire to speak with you, josh," y/n said, glaring at him.

josh clicked his tongue frowned, but then he looked y/n up and down, completely ignoring the glare loki was sending him.

"you been working out? you a lil less scrawny than the last time i saw you," josh slurred. he reached out a hand to touch y/n.

y/n swiftly grabbed his wrist and pushed it down harshly.
