"Thank you, Sunghoon." I realized we were already in front of our house.

Suddenly, regrets hit me. I badly want to go back now. I should've have listened to him. We can't fix this shit like this, if I will keep on running away from him.

"Hope, you'll be okay." Ngumiti nang si Sunghoon tipid bago lumabas at umikot para pagbuksan ako.

"Sorry, nadamay ka pa sa problema namin. Naabala ka pa tuloy." Sambit ko bago bumaba.

"You were never a burden to me." Seryosong sagot niya.

His phone suddenly rang. Kumunot muna ang noo niya bago niya ito sagutin. He even gestured to excuse himself. I just nodded.

I decided to wait for him to leave before entering the house. I glanced at him quickly and he seemed shocked and uneasy. I don't want to be nosy but it seems like something came up and it's not good.

"You okay?" Tanong ko nang lumapit siya ulit sakin. He doesn't look okay though.

"Manang Dolor called from home." Panimula niya. He sounded so gloomy. "Sungjae was brought to the hospital." Dugtong niya.

His left hand was shaking as his right hand frustratedly brushed his hair backwards. He was heavily breathing. It's the first time I saw him this scared.

"Calm down, Sunghoon." He looked at me. He can't drive properly if he stayed like that.

"I'm afraid. It happened again." He uttered as his voice cracked a bit.

I cannot understand what he was talking about. All I know is I cannot let him leave with his hands shaking.

"Hoon."

"I need to go." He said after sighing. "Don't worry, I'll drive safely." He assured.

"Call me if it's okay to visit. I want to see Sungjae." Bilin ko sa kanya. As much as I wanted to go with him now, I want to respect their family. Probably, I can still visit him on the other days.

I felt relieved nang mapansing mas kalmado na siya ngayon.

"I'll do." Sagot niya. "Rest well. Today's a rough day for you too." Sambit niya ulit.

He was about to enter his car when I called him again.

"Everything will be okay, Sunghoon." He looked down.
I held his left hand and gave him an assuring smile. He responded with a weak smile and nodded.

I didn't noticed Jay's car until Sunghoon left. He was also standing beside it.

"Jay."

I wanted to see him again the moment we arrived home and now he's here.

Naglakad ako palapit sa kanya. I looked at him confused when he stepped back.

"I just thought-" nakakunot ang noong tumingin siya sa baba. "we can talk right now."

With that, he entered his car and left.

"What did just happen?" Bulong ko sa sarili ko.

Mistulang zombie ako na pumasok sa bahay. Nasa kusina sina Ni-ki at Mama. I heard her called me to eat. Umiling lang ako at dumiretso sa taas.

This is the first time he walked away from me. Siguro nasanay lang ako na lagi siyang naglalakad papunta sakin, nang walang pagdadalawang isip. This is the first time he stepped away from me.

And his eyes, he looked so hurt. He's hurting. The last thing I wanted to do is to hurt him.

I should've not leave him at school. I should've listened to him. I should've not ran away.
