"So... She's sick because of me?" I said in disbelief, staring at the ill girl in front of me.
"Your powers are linked, almost certainly because yours came from her genetics." The doctor said solemnly. I sighed, squeezing my fist. Shota looked at me, seeing my frustration.
"What do I do?" I asked. If there was any way I could fix her... I'd do it in a heartbeat, no matter what it cost me.
"The only way is to remove your quirk entirely. And as far as we know, that quirk destroying drug was lost as soon as the Shie Hassaikai were taken in. The next step is to trial a drug made from Eraserhead's quirk- however, this could take up to year, potentially longer." He concluded. It was looking bleak for poor Eri.
"I'll fix it, ok Eri? And when you're all better, you're gonna come watch me at the school festival. Deal?" Eri laid in bed, flush with a fever. She nodded weakly.
"Ok. I'll figure this out then." I grabbed my bag and headed for the door with haste.
"What do you mean, you'll figure it out?" Shota questioned me.
"It means I'll figure this out." I stormed off, not really knowing how the fuck I was going to fix this.

Katsuki was glued to the screen, all whilst the cogs inside my brain were turning along.
"Ugh." He set the controller down, the screen flashing a large 'GAME OVER' in bold red.
"So, what're you gonna do?" He asked, now twiddling his thumbs.
"You can't tell Aizawa." I raised my eyebrows at him. He mimicked zipping his lips shut.
"I need to find a Yakuza guy that helped me out when I was kidnapped. If I want to find that quirk removing drug, I gotta get to him." He smirked, knowing the plan would require some sneaking around.
"How do you plan on finding him? Didn't he escape during the raid?"
"Yup. But- the ones they arrested, somebody has to know something." I determined.
"Aaaand why can't you just ask Aizawa-sensei for help?" He wanted to know, leaning back on the floor.
"He'll freak, obviously. I'm trying to acquire a super-duper illegal drug that destroys lives. It's already destroyed one life. He can't be anywhere near this- he can't so much as touch this with a ten-foot pole. If I get caught trying to find this shit, I'm fucked, and he'd be even more fucked if he got caught. They won't understand it's for Eri- they'll just think I'm the traitor. They want me to wait over a year for a new drug. She might be dead by then, Katsuki. I have to do this. And I can't involve him." I finished with a sigh. My eyes drifted to him, awaiting a response. He seemed deep in thought, until his head suddenly snapped to me.
"Alright. I'm in." He concluded, getting up.
"H-huh?" I stood up behind him.
"I'll help." He said as if I hadn't just explained what's at stake here.
"You got how risky this is, right?" We locked eyes.
"Yeah. But she's a kid. So whatever." He shrugged, a slight growl in his voice.
"Text me when you find someone." He left quickly, averting my gaze.
"Uh-" I muttered to myself, staring at the now shut door.
"Okay then." I tied up my hair, filled with purpose. Plopping down at the table, I shoved away all of the papers and snacks. Scrolling through my contacts, I clicked call on a very friendly face.
"Hey! Uh, I really need your help. Listen, I need a huge favour..."

Throughout homeroom, my pen cap sat in my mouth, whilst its counterpart was being twiddled in my thumbs.
"Stop freaking out. He said he'd do it." The blonde boy muttered from next to me.
"What if he told him?" I worried. I could practically feel his eyes roll.
"It'll be fine."
I caught Aizawa's eyes flicker to me; only slightly squinting his eyes in suspicion. Until the bell momentarily freed me from his gaze, of course.
"I'll catch you later, let you know how it goes." I nodded to my deskmate.
I tried to leave as quickly as possible, but sadly my teacher was having none of it.
"Stay back a minute, L/N." He said without even looking. He walked round to the front of the desk and leant back. Begrudgingly, I marched to the front and found a closer desk. Katsuki closed the door behind him, not before giving me a knowing look.
"So... what's wrong?" He asked.
"Hm?" I pursed my lips.
"I can tell when something's wrong." He said with his arms folded.
"I just- I can't stop thinking about Eri." It was a truth... just not the right one.
"... Well, okay. But please talk to me if something is wrong." I silently breathed a sigh of relief. He went to let me out...
Until I was stopped at the doorway.
"You look nice today... hm? Even with that crooked tie." He whispered huskily. With calloused hands, he gently fixed my tie; all whilst getting a little too close to my face. This bitch knew what he was doing. I felt my face heat up, as my heart involuntarily pounded in my chest.
"School's just ended for the week. Why don't we spend tonight at my place?" He whispered, slowly snaking his arms around my waist. As much as my body wanted to scream 'YES!!!', a few sketchy activities had already filled up my weekend unfortunately.
"I can't... I've got way too much homework to do this weekend..." I fibbed. It felt awful to lie... But as soon as I helped Eri, I could tell him after.
"Oh, I'll help you. We can hole up in your room, order takeout- I feel like you've forgotten I have a teaching degree." He suggested, brushing some hair out of my face.
"Ah, I agreed to study it all with Todoroki. And he'll think it's weird if our teacher came..." I faked a small laugh.
"That makes sense... Maybe we'll find some time after you've sorted it. Let me know, and we can fire up Mariokart. Or... do some other things." He said deeply towards the end. God, this man was irresistible.
"I'll try to find some time, yeah?" I got up on my tiptoes and gave him a quick kiss. The guilt was silently eating away at me on the inside.
"I gotta go, okay? I love you." I ran out the door, leaving him unable to respond.
I hurried to my destination as fast as my feet could take me. My English teacher came across my path, however.
"L/N! I got some... feedback on your English essay for you. Even... though... English is your first language..." He realised his mistake. He handed me a folded-up sheet of paper. I hated the position I'd put him in.
"Just... be careful." He said in a solemn voice, walking away. With a sigh, I stood in the corner and unfolded it.
