My phone rings for the eleventh time before I decide to check the voicemails. I sit on the ledge of the rooftop of my old apartment building, feeling the cold bite of the night air.

'You have ten voicemails. First voicemail:'

"Hey." A dark voice says sternly down the phone.

"I don't know what the fuck you think you are doing, but if you know where he is, you need to surrender that information to the police. You know that could be seen as interfering with a police investigation, right? You could be charged in court." I huff out my nose and roll my eyes.

'Second voicemail:'

"Nevermind, I just realised you don't care about authority." I laugh a little under my breath. "Just stop now before it's too late. You know it's not up to you to fix everything? Call me back."

'Third voicemail:'

"You are seriously a fucking idiot, you know that right?" A younger voice growls.

"Come back."

'Fourth voicemail:'

"Please? Please just come back. Or just call me. I don't know what- I can't do this-" I hang up the voicemail, before throwing the SIM off of the rooftop.

God, I am selfish. Making everyone worry about me again.

Well, am I? I could die trying to make sure my dad does not come to U.A..

Am I just trying to martyr myself for no reason?

Too late to figure that out now.

----

"Are you serious? A lone 20-year-old woman has managed to figure out where he is, yet the entire police force can't seem to manage it?" Aizawa chastises down the phone.

"Well, it is her father after all, of course she's going to know someone who knows where he is. Just stay put for now, we're working on it as fast as we can." He sighs.

"Okay, Tsukauchi. Thanks for the update- or rather lack thereof." He says that last part rather quietly before hanging up. The students are all in the dorms, confused. All Might is trying his best to listen in on the call.

"So... She didn't go get chips?" Katsuki and Aizawa both turn around, squinting their eyes in disbelief.

"...No, Kaminari. No, she did not go out for... 'Do-ri-tos'." Aizawa says that last bit as if it were a new word to him, and turns back to All Might.

"I must admit, we probably should have seen this coming given her track record." Aizawa struggled to resist rolling his eyes at this.

"Yes, but I mistakenly thought she matured. Guess I was wrong." He replies with a hint of venom. All Might is stunned into silence before sighing.

"I think she has, and I think we need to trust her. Whilst also trying to catch up with her, that is." Aizawa pinches the bridge of his nose.

"Sure. Let's trust the student who is known for disobeying orders and running off unsupervised, and getting captured. Sure. Let's do that." He walks away, knuckles turning white from the grip on his phone.

All Might, as well as Tsukauchi, knew that Aizawa was just lashing out. He was stressed. Worried.

But part of them knew, that she would figure it out. That she would be fine in the end.

After all, how could she call herself a hero without some modicum of self-sacrifice?

I walk through Hosu city, hood up, trying to make myself as small as possible. Cold fingers gingerly push the plastic-rimmed glasses back up my nose, whilst my eyes dart around the hustle and bustle of the city.
