Todoroki was walking to school with an umbrella. Even though his dad said he was okay to drop him off, Todoroki said no. And because of that, he ended up seeing someone walking with an umbrella made of thin diamonds?! How bourgeoisie! "Michiyo?" Seeing diamonds reminded him of her and he ended up saying her name.
Michiyo turned to face him, "Todoroki? Good morning~."
"Aren't you attracting attention to yourself even on a rainy day?"
"My umbrella broke in the harsh wind so I made thin layers of diamonds above my head. Smart, right?"
He had to admit, it was a pretty good idea; this way, the umbrella will not break no matter how harsh the wind was. However, as smart as this idea was, citizens were told not to use their Quirks in public unless it's a self defense situation but does it make sense for Michiyo to follow the rules only to get drenched by the rain?
"Want to walk to school together?"
He didn't want her to get in trouble and so he decided to do something he never offered for other girls, "Michiyo, do you want to share an umbrella?"
"Eh? EH?!"
"You don't want to?"
"N-not that! Just...why?"
"Because you might get into trouble if you're caught using your Quirk in public. You know we're discouraged to use it unless you need to defend yourself."
"But I will get rain if I didn't use it."
"I knew you would say that and I agree with you. Then? Do you want to share an umbrella?"
Michiyo blushed and she made her diamond umbrella disappear when she stayed by his left side. She linked onto his arm because of her habit of sharing an umbrella with Father Ichinose. "Eek!" She's now shaking like a newborn lamb upon realizing she had linked onto his arm without asking first! She looked at him, expecting him to be angry but to her surprise he saw her looking at him with a surprised expression instead.
"I was about to say, you might as well hold onto me so it's easier for me to hold the umbrella."
"Y-you were thinking that? O-oh..."
"Yeah..."
The two of them stopped being awkward and they walked to school together. Todoroki glanced at her and he remembered how the Sakura twins fought one another without holding back. He thought her weak personality held her back and he ended up saying horrible things to her back at the 1-A waiting room. He didn't know Michiyo and Ranfa had a harsh past of their own. He just assumed Michiyo was just a sheltered child who wanted to be a Hero for no reason. He shouldn't have said such cold words to her. "I'm sorry about what I said. I won't say such things to you again."
"Eh? A-ah. Right." But her brain wasn't functioning because she was suddenly remembering this scene in the R18 game Father Ichinose got for her! Do you ever have that moment when you're in the middle of something and then your thoughts ended up somewhere else? That's what Michiyo's thoughts were doing right now. God! The way the main guy told the main girl 'Get on your hands and knees and say I want to be your dog' in such a deep voice was so dangerous!
"I can't imagine what you were feeling when someone suddenly say that to you out of nowhere."
"It felt like my ovaries were on the verge of explosion." She's talking about the game. Not him.
Todoroki looked at her with a confused but sad frown, "I-I've hurt you that bad?!"
"Ahh! Sorry! No! Not that! Forget about it!"
