Chapter 77 - Heroes Rising

"Besides, the more we attack Bakugou, the more chance he has of escaping." That's a lie. Yuuki's just saying that because she wanted to hit Bakugou without upsetting Kirishima and Kaminari. She went ahead and attacked the mummified Bakugou with her full strength! She kneed him where his solar plexus should be! She couldn't see his face but everyone knew Bakugou must be livid; he's mummified! He's not deaf! He could hear everything Yuuki said! On top of that, he could feel every single hit Yuuki's delivering.

Yuuki clawed at the mummified random objects when they're thrown at her way, making it get out of her way and she always made sure to land a hit or a kick at mummified Bakugou. She relied on her sense of smell to find him each time. 

"Y-you're not even trying to free him..." Mummy was shocked because usually Heroes will scramble to save their friends- not using the opportunity to hit them!

"He's been bullying me since we came onto the island! It's about time he gets an ass kicking! Aunty's doing her best but she can only do so much with her best! As his future wife, I will deliver the ass kicking!" 

"Is that so?" Mummy will have to deal with Yuuki a different way. He captured Kaminari and Kirishima with his bandages. "Choose. Will you become my puppet? Or do you want to fight your friends-" 

"Oh? Katsuki became so weak he need help to beat me up~?! I guess I should thank the mummy bastard that he nerfed you so hard I can beat you without my Quirk." Yuuki turned off her honey badger Quirk. She looked normal again. "I'll fight you without my Quirk!" 

"What a stupid girl-" 

"STOP MESSING WITH ME!" Bakugou built up enough explosive power to sacrifice one of his gears! "You fucking bitch- underestimate me, will you?! Stand right there! After I kill that mummy bastard, you are next! I am fucking angry with you- I'm going to beat you so hard you will wish you were never born!"

"Heh, thank me later." 

Bakugou was livid. Even though he's angry, he knew Yuuki made him angry on purpose. 'Anger triggers the body's 'fight or flight' response. The adrenal glands flood the body with stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol. The brain shunts blood away from the gut and towards the muscles, in preparation for physical exertion. Heart rate, and respiration increase, the body temperature rises and the skin perspires.' Bakugou thought to himself as he blast his way to the mummified villain. He knew Yuuki was making his temperature rise on purpose so he could build the sweat he needed to make an explosive escape. "DIE!!!" Still, that didn't mean Yuuki's off the hook even if he defeated the mummified villain by blasting him hard enough to knock him out but keeping the explosion to a minimum to not blow buildings up. 

"Ah crap-" The next thing Yuuki knew, Bakugou pulled her to him by her shirt. 

"Bakugou, don't-" Kirishima was too late though because Bakugou banged his head against Yuuki's! 

"Eek!" Yuuki suffered damage!

"That will teach you a fucking lesson! And that fucking chicken was delicious so I am not saying sorry! Fuck you!" Bakugou's not even sorry! "...thanks." But he did thank her though. 

"Oh...hee~ you're welcome~." She turned herself into a literal honey badger and she crawled onto Bakugou's shoulder as he prepared to fly to where the enemy was. "I'm coming along too~." 

"If you fall, I'm not saving you."

"Ayo~." 

"Don't copy Dark Shadow, you fucking bitch!"

"The fried chicken was delicious. Let's get this over with so the islanders will make more~!" 

"Don't change the subject! I said it was delicious but I never said it was better than the ones I make!"
