Chapter 100 - A place to be at ease?

"Shouto...?! Y-you don't have to go out of your way to see us. Your father is here too." Todoroki Rei really appreciate how her young son purposely took the time to come and see her. She also smiled at the fact he took Michiyo with him. "Michiyo-chan..."

Michiyo felt very shy upon meeting the mother of Todoroki Shouto. Michiyo now know where Todoroki's soft smile come from. "Um...I bought a fruits basket over. Please accept it." 

"Thank you very much." Rei thanked Michiyo for the basket of fresh fruits.

Endeavor held the basket and he gave it to Fuyumi. Endeavor was dropping supplies off to his family. He was about to leave-

"Dad, can you listen for one minute? I have something to say."

Visiting his own mother wasn't an odd thing to do but why did Todoroki bring Michiyo along? Because he thought it'd be good for the two of them to finally meet. Todoroki wanted Rei to meet the girl Touya loved and protected...Todoroki wanted Rei to meet the girl he planned to marry one day. "Mom, Dad, when I graduate from school, I'm marrying Michiyo."

"Eh?" Michiyo wasn't told about this before coming here! She thought they were just visiting his parents and drop off a fruits basket?! "S-Shouto?!"

Todoroki knew what she's about to say so he responded to her, "You wouldn't have come if I told you what I am planning to do." 

"I-I haven't prepared myself properly?! I would have picked a better dress to come here and maybe I could have done my hair properly!" 

"But your hair is not that long?"

"Still...!" She covered her face because she's too embarrassed!

"I met Natsuo's girlfriend and now I am meeting Shouto's fiancee~." Rei was happy about her younger son's love. Rei looked at Endeavor, "You don't seem surprised." 

"That's because I've already met her. She even interned under me one time." Endeavor was not at all surprised by this. In fact, he expected something like this somewhere in the future. He still remember how Michiyo came to his office on her own without Todoroki. He still remember how determined she was to learn under him. As he watched Fuyumi and Natsuo happily congratulate Todoroki and Michiyo, Endeavor couldn't help but think if only Touya was never Dabi...maybe he would be here congratulating and teasing his little brother. "Michiyo." 

"Ah! Yes?!"

"...take care of Shouto. He's in good hands." 

Michiyo stopped blushing and she's more calm about it. She could tell Endeavor trust her. She squeezed Todoroki's hand and she nodded at Endeavor's words, "Yes. I'll protect him for sure."

Todoroki glanced at her because he knew he will do the same even without telling her. 

"Also..." Endeavor had been meaning to tell Michiyo this but he never got the chance until now. "Thank you for letting Dabi be Touya when he was with you."

While everyone was cursing at Michiyo for not catching Dabi and not killing him when she had all the chance in the world to do so, Endeavor thanked him for meeting Dabi and letting Dabi have moments where he didn't need to be a villain. 

Michiyo silently cried. She pressed her right hand against her mouth because she never once expected to be praised. All she did was doing something she believed was right. Even if everyone curse her for it, she stood against them and refused to apologize. It's a lonely battle...but someone noticed and she cried. "Hm..." 

Leaving his family after giving them the news, Todoroki had another plan. "I want to tell Ichinose-san about my plan."
