Chapter 93 - Dance with me in hell

"Ranfa, why? Why did you ignore me? Ashido and that civilian...why didn't you save them?!" Kirishima was shaking Ranfa but she did not react to him. "Ranfa, say something! Ignoring Ashido...! Ignoring that civilian who was streaming...! Why did you ignore him?! Because of you, he died! Because you ignored me- Ashido could have died!" 

Ranfa didn't say anything. What was there to say? Everyone was upset because the plan did not work and they couldn't see any hope in the Heroes winning against Gigantomachia with the way he's still moving at a fast rate. "I-" 

"Ranfa, when you used Diamond Dust to get to that thing's chest, why did you not throw your sedative into his mouth?!" Kirishima couldn't understand why Ranfa was stubborn about using her plan instead of Yaoyorozu's plan. "Everyone agreed to use Yaoyorozu's plan- Midnight-sensei counted on her! Why won't you believe your own friends even now?! When I told you to protect the civilian- I could have hardened myself! That civilian can't! He needed your protection!" 

"Kirishima-" 

"You didn't save Ashido because you wanted to use her as a sacrifice. If that thing is distracted by her, he wouldn't notice you. Isn't that right?" 

Ranfa looked at the ground trying to recall the choices she made literally moments ago. "...she failed to throw her sedative into his mouth. I was so close to pulling the sword out-" 

"So you ignored her! And thought her dying was better than you leaving the sword behind!" 

"I needed to pull that sword out. I needed to protect-" 

Kirishima was so disappointed in her and so angered that he pinned her against a tree. Ranfa winced at the pain because his hands were sharp when he's using Hardening. He's gripping her shoulders to the point he dug into her skin, breaking it to the point blood seeped out. He's disappointed by so many things but he didn't think Ranfa will disappoint him. "You ignored your friend who was in need, Ranfa. What am I supposed to think? Why did you become such a cold person who can let someone die just like that and still think nothing of it?!" 

"I thought if I killed him, I can protect you." 

"Don't use me as an excuse to justify your sociopathic tendency!"

"Kirishima..." 

"Ranfa, that day, I smelled blood from your sword. You killed someone and you smiled it off, didn't you?"

Ranfa didn't think he'd find out. She's not denying it.

"Ranfa, when did you become such a monster?"

"Ah..." The person she loved called her such a horrible word. She's a monster for trying to protect him? It wasn't just Kirishima. The others were looking at her with a horrified expression on their faces. 

"Everyone, we shouldn't stay here and brood. We need to collect ourselves together and provide aid. Let's go! There might be Heroes who are still alive and need our help!" Yaoyorozu was collecting everyone together. She didn't want them to just sit there and cry. If Majestic said their choices were not wrong then they need to continue from where they made the choice even if it did not work out in their favor! Before she walked on, Yaoyorozu sadly looked at Ranfa, "Ranfa-san...I really wanted to understand things from your point of view. I really wanted to. But what you did was unforgivable. You ignored the plan, did your own thing without consulting anyone, ignored your friend who was in trouble, and let an innocent civilian die. You know I don't want you to kill anyone. I don't understand why you think killing someone gives you strength but I want you to know only a monster will think the things you do." 

"...even you, Yaoyorozu?" 

"You don't need to come, Ranfa-san."

Everyone walked away from Ranfa, leaving her behind. They no longer believe she knew how to protect anyone let alone save them.
