The media was praising the U.A. students one by one for their heroic actions in defeating All For One and the League of Villains. However, they will only see what they want to see and will never be able to see the things only the heroes could see at the time. They could only report what they could see at the time. Anything that could not be seen or heard, will not be remembered and will surely be forgotten over time.
"Ranfa-san, it's nice of you to visit me. Kirishima-kun too." Midoriya called Kirishima and asked if he could visit him and bring Ranfa because he wanted to ask Ranfa something.
"Are you okay, Midoriya?" Kirishima was worried about Midoriya because he had the hardest battle and he shouldered so much on his back.
"Ah, I'm getting better and will be out soon. I can't wait to be with everyone again." Midoriya said with a smile on his face. He then looked at Ranfa, "I had a feeling, Ranfa-san... you created a sword using my Quirk."
"Eijirou, I'm thirsty. Can you get me a strawberry yogurt drink?"
Kirishima already know what Ranfa wanted to say to Midoriya so he just nodded and went. When the door closed, Kirishima felt a little sad. "It's too sad..." He promised Ranfa he won't show he's upset but it was hard not to be upset when you know your friend will go through something life changing and there's no way for you to fix anything.
Ranfa sat down on a chair. "I wanted to meet you and talk about your Quirk, Midoriya." Because Resonance allowed her to feel a person's soul and their Quirk, the very moment she grabbed hold of the sword created from One For All she felt it was more special from everyone's sword and it's a lot fragile too. "The very moment I used Liberation, I knew it was the end of that sword... Midoriya, your Quirk is fading, isn't it?"
Midoriya didn't seem that upset he will lose it and become Quirkless.
Seeing how calm he was, Ranfa was reminded of the way she was calm about quitting being a Hero. "You're calm."
"As you are, Ranfa-san. I get to experience what I have always dreamed of so I have no regrets. Seems like you're not the only who will stop being a Hero."
"But Midoriya, I can tell you still have it in you to be a Hero."
This time, Midoriya smiled, "You too, Ranfa-san."
The two of them will stop being Heroes. Yet, in their heart was someone who wished to protect others. Midoriya will lose the flames of One For All, Ranfa lost the will to take up the mantle and be a Hero.
Ranfa smiled at his words; she was worried he would be devastated so to know he will be fine even if he's Quirkless again made her feel a little bit at ease. She didn't care if she chose not to be a Hero but to know Midoriya who loved doing what he must as a Hero, it made her feel sad for him that he could no longer do what he loved. She wondered if there's anything to fix this?
"Hmm... I can't tell if you're about to cry or not." He could easily tell how Michiyo and Yuuki will feel based on their expressions since they're easy to read but Midoriya had trouble wondering what Ranfa was thinking about because she's good at hiding everything behind a mask that told everyone 'I am okay'.
"Eh?"
"You see, Kacchan cried because of me today so if you cry because of me, I feel like I will trouble everyone."
"That guy can cry?" Ranfa was honestly shocked to hear that.
"Yeah. I'm sure he will feel better again because he dragged Yuuki away to fight her."
"Of course that is his way of sorting out his own feelings. Did the two of them at least have a more heartfelt reunion?"
Midoriya smiled when he remembered Yuuki rushing into his room to find Bakugou...
