Chapter 36 - Michiyo's promise to Todoroki

It's still summer vacation and soon there will be a training camp for both classes of the Hero Course. For now, everyone was independently training or resting, depending on their diligence level.

The chapter will focus on a promise Michiyo made with Todoroki during the BBQ party where All Might treated everyone.

Todoroki was amazed when he arrived at Michiyo's home- it's literally a church!

"Welcome to my home, Todoroki~." She opened the door for him and she happily showed him around.

Michiyo was out buying snacks at the convenience store and she saw Todoroki. When she asked why he was out, he said his father was home and he lied to him saying he was out studying with Midoriya and he will have dinner with him. He was going to turn his lie into a truth but while on the phone with Midoriya, Midoriya said he was out with his mom and Todoroki didn't want to kill the family mood so he decided to go for a walk and be away from home all day until it was late. It was this walk that he ran into Michiyo. Seeing he was out with nothing to do, Michiyo decided to invite him to her home for soba noodles since she knew he liked soba and she did promise to invite him over.

"Holy crap!" Kaminari exclaimed! "It's a church! A church! Is it okay for the two of us to be in such a place when we have such unholy thoughts?!" Mineta continued right after Kaminari. They both awed as they walked down the nave of the church- which was the central part of the church.

What was Kaminari and Mineta doing here? They were trying to pick up girls and when they saw Michiyo and Todoroki alone and planning to have dinner together, they decide to become wheel number three and four; Mineta said it was bad enough he and Kaminari were not the main characters so they will pick up scraps. Michiyo didn't understand what Mineta meant by that but she invited Kaminari and Mineta over to eat soba noodles because the more people the merrier. Of course, being invited by a cute girl was every boy's dream...but they will later see the cost of it.

"Michiyo, why are you so amazed I live in a traditional Japanese home when you live in a church?" Todoroki followed Michiyo when she opened the door.

"Is it that amazing?"

"I've never really heard of people living in an actual church."

"I hear the voice of a boy! Who is he and why is he here?!" It's Father Ichinose's day off from listening to people's confessions! That one day where he didn't need to listen to other people's story and spend the day with his little sweet pea was under threat that he put out his cigarette and throw the newspaper aside immediately to see what the source of the threat was! The door shouldn't be open to public! He couldn't understand why Todoroki was here! When he saw three boys in total, he looked pissed.

"Father, this is Todoroki Shouto, Kaminari Denki, and Mineta Minoru. They're all from the same class."

"Hello." Todoroki said hi with a light bow, "Thank you for having us."

Kaminari and Mineta said hi too.

"You always say I should invite friends over for dinner so here they are~." Michiyo was happy because she get to eat yummy food later, get to fulfill her promise to Todoroki, and fulfill a promise she made to her guardian! She felt like she's on the roll with nothing stopping her.

"Sweet pea, I mean female friends! Not boys!" Father Ichinose didn't like this. It was bad enough the gender ratio of boys to girls were bad in 1-A, but Ichinose was annoyed she brought boys home! "And this one is dangerously handsome! What's your motive, boy?" From the priest's point of view, Todoroki was the biggest threat for simply being very handsome.
